Tell us about your chapter: bureaucracy, nobility, laws

Somehow we got to talking in the rules theory section about how each chapter handles nobles, political structures, and laws - specifically, norms for handling crime and punishment (in case you're curious, second page: viewtopic.php?f=214&t=15032&start=25).

Let's explore this some more. Tell us about how your chapter does nobles. What are the kingdoms like? How are the laws written? (vs.) How is crime and punishment actually handled? What do you like about it, what could be better?

Don't worry about going off topic too much. Keep it broad. I'd really just like to learn more about your game and its bureaucracy.

Unfortunately, I'm in a sling right now and am typing one handed, so I'll have to let someone else start.
