Thanks for the weekend

This weekend was AWESOME! Tied for my favorite event so far. So many things happened for my character, and more than once, thanks to our brilliant NPCs, I had several moments of pure immersion, where I completely forgot my name was Evan, and I wasn't actually in 50 leagues over my head.

Those moments include, but are not limited to, an detailed analysis of the inner workings of time, space, and magic with Sharr, THE most brilliant improvisation by the NPC who ran my acid lake mod (i.e. Josh the Order Elemental, Tinker Tanner, ect. Your characters are so memorable that I lose your real name ) and having to vicariously relive my character's past as it flashed before his eyes, and the One Magic Portal mod, where I SUCCESSFULLY held a compulsed Ahlana back from jumping into the Portal and perm-ing.

I love the story you guys on plot are building, as well as my own, and I want express my thanks to the NPCs who work so hard to make this game what it is.

On a side note, Kit, playing a Time Elemental, had the greatest clutch throw I've seen so far: threw a shatter spirit from almost 100 feet away, into almost total darkness where I'd stopped on the path to the town, and hit my leg. I was so shocked that I almost didn't call out the dodge I'd bought from Tinker Tanner earlier that day. You can buy a dodge, but a shatter spirit super snipe? Priceless.

I have to say, I've had a few emotional moments with Alliance, but Rob and Chris, you two took the cake, replaced it with pie, and took that too! I was literally 100 feet away from being in bed, sore, and exhausted. The two of you caught me on the trail as Daddy Karstarke and the voice of my sword. I have been prepared and properly geared up for that "fight" for months. You two threw me curveball I did NOT see coming. A fight leaves you with a surge of adrenaline that makes it easy to kill without remorse. My confrontation woke me up and led me back to the smoker's guild with tears in my eyes. Stupid feels. A HUGE thanks to all of the hard working NPCs, but a special thanks to the two of you! Definitely one of the most difficult things I've ever had to do.

Can't wait for September!

P.s. Mathis... My parents are gone now...

Good weekend:

-Enjoyed the trial. That the Vanguard was mentioned in it was nice. It was an infamous kind of weekend.
-Enjoyed that my plan worked regarding Bleak. The reactions to said plan before and after were great. It was an infamous kind of weekend.
-Enjoyed spending some more time with Sir Robert.

Wonderful weekend!

  • So glad the full kitchen is back in operation! I found myself overprepared, as I had bought food with the assumption that we wouldn't be having lunch. Everything was delicious, especially the vegetable lasagna.
  • I didn't hear a single person complain about having nothing to do, which was really nice. Whether it was plot working their butts off to keep people busy or better attitude from the PC's, well done!
  • Walking up to the cabins and nearly taking my first death from the death knight. That was close!
  • Being dominated by an aspect and told to kill Sir Robert, and standing outside a ward with a small mob of people who were also dominated until the effect ended.
  • Dragging Frederick's dying body away from a powerful flame elemental so we could reason with it, and essentially getting paid to leave the plane.
  • Gathering components for the lightning rods. I was in two of the three mods, and used most of my healing on them. I felt very accomplished and helpful, which is always nice.
  • Sitting and listening to the founder of the Paladins tell his story, and suddenly panicking when we realized exactly who and what he was, and what that implied.
