Unbounded and Citizens of Rathfall alike, I, Adherent Ulfric Sandalwood of the Order of the Earth’s Chosen, after having done some light research into the Ancient Rites of the Grimere Expanse, or, now colloquially known as “Censerball”, do hereby announce Rathfall’s first ever Censerball tournament.

On my discovery of additional tomes of this topic, allow me to illuminate the proper procedures for the rites, as they may be safely practiced.

Summary:
You witness now, the rites.
The one true way to justice and glory.
Raiments and masks are donned.
A celestial orb falls from the stars when the pyres are lit. The orb is used to quench the burning pyre. Two pyres shall ignite, afield of one another.
Champions conduct the rites as a triumvirate, for they must prove their trust in one another, not just in themselves.
The three must act as one.
During the rites, allies and adversaries manifest their willpower with arcane blades and aura of banishment.
The orb absorbs the willpower, yet also quenches the flame. Whoever steps into the flame is banished, for a time. His or her cohorts must make do on their own, until another is set aflame.
Snuff out the adversary’s pyre while yours yet burns!

Allow me to further explain each sentence of this tome, and the Rules of the Rites will be made clear.

You witness now, the rites.
Though this is a tournament, pray, have respect for the rites, and employ proper decorum. Respect your adversaries and teammates alike.

The one true way to justice and glory.
It seems the Rites were used between various city-states and other factions as an avenue of justice in lieu of war or other armed conflict.

Raiments and masks are donned.
The rites may not be conducted without raiments of two colors and a mask. If your triumvirate does not have them, the order has spares to provide.

A celestial orb falls from the stars when the pyres are lit. The orb is used to quench the burning pyre. Two pyres shall ignite, afield of one another.
Self explanatory, I feel. Please note! This is a special pyre, ensorcelled with arcane magics. No ordinary kindling will do. While the reagents used for pyre ignition varies per triumvirate, Pyres are always ignited with three pyrotis, and three alike reagents of a Triumvirate’s choice.

Champions conduct the rites as a triumvirate, for they must prove their trust in one another, not just in themselves.
A team may have only three members. Traditionally, one from each pillar of the triumvirate of society. One of Noble Rank, one of the Mistweavers, and one of the Order of the Earth’s Chosen. It is my understanding previously this requirement was waived under desperate circumstances, and only when the rites are conducted seriously would the rites likely demand this.

The three must act as one.
Each team may have only one member moving at a time, a designated Mover. One who wields the orb is always the mover.

During the rites, allies and adversaries manifest their willpower with arcane blades and aura of banishment.
Each Triumvirate has one of each archetype. They all have a specific movement speed, length of Arcane weapon, and Damage dealt to the opposing Pyre. I am unsure why the archetypes are as specific as this, I may need assistance researching further. See below.
  • Cur - Shortblade:Arcane Banish | Sprint always | 10 Pyre damage | single packet arcane strike banish:“I call upon the stars to banish you!”

  • Outlander - Longblade:Arcane Banish | Jog always | 20 Pyre damage | (2 packet) Spray arcane strike banish:“I call upon the stars to banish you!”

  • Overgoat - 2h:Arcane Banish | Walk only | 2 uses of endow per round | 30 pyre damage | (2 packet) Spray arcane strike banish:“I call upon the stars to banish you!” | arcane strike banish using Celestial Orb:“I call upon the stars to banish you!”

On banishment: When a champion banishes another with their arcane weapons or aura, the losing champion will return, emerging from his pyre in ten seconds.

The orb absorbs the willpower, yet also quenches the flame. Whoever steps into the flame is banished, for a time. His or her cohorts must make do on their own, until another is set aflame.

Those who wield the orb are unable to manifest their arcane blades or aura. However, when the orb meets a pyre, it is quenched. This amount is based on the archetypes above. Throwing the orb into the pyre’s crown deals half damage.

A Champion stepping into the opposing pyre with the orb deals full damage. However, they are banished until the next time the Orb meets any pyre.

When the Orb meets a pyre, a new round begins. The orb returns to the center of the pyres, and any eligible champions appear near their respective pyres.

Snuff out the adversary’s pyre while yours yet burns!
The first triumvirate to reduce the enemy pyre to ash wins!

The Censerball Tournament will commence at 9AM on saturday. Do try to be on time.

The winning triumvirate will receive the Censerball Cup! A specially crafted item of measurable power!

Please Gather your triumvirate, team name, and sign up for the tournament Friday night, or in the dreamscape below.
