Movie was a 7 out of 10 for me.

However, Dave AKA Khorwyn is no longer named " Mini Kevin Sorbo" Instead we will call him "Saka" of the Southern Water tribe. For real looks just like him...

I heard a lot of crap about this movie, but I still want to see it. I've watched the original animated series a couple times and absolutely love it. Even though it is aimed at the 10-12 crowd, it's actually very deep. The character development is as good, or better than, most television series & movies. It feels like a complete story from start to finish. The humor is aimed at kids, but I laughed all the time watching it. The series makes me feel like a kid again watching the original TMNT or Ghostbusters and laughing at the jokes.

I'll catch the movie in 3D soon. Oh, and Dave isn't nearly goofy enough to be a Saka.

The series is Awesome, the movie was a 6-7 out of 10 and that being generouse. M.Night Shamalamadingdong should walk away from this series right now, they should remake book one again and start over.

But at least we got a new Look-alike for Dave/Khorwyn (Saka is not a complete moron in the movie, the siblings in the movie did a great job IMO)

I actually didn't mind the movie. It stayed failry true to the series albeit removing much of the unimportant filler episodes.

I am actually a fan of M. Night for the reason that he is at least trying some original stuff different from the typical action movies you see all over the theaters. I liked The Sixth Sense, Signs, Unbreakable, and even The Village. Lady in the Water was ok, just a bit too wierd for my taste and The happening was just bad. But I digress...

I would give Avatar The Last Airbender an B-. It wasn't the best action fantasy movie I've seen but it certainly wasn't the worst.
