How exactly does a game day work, and where are they at? since our legacies event got cancelled due to a BSA error, we find ourselves free next weekend and should like to make the game day, we think.

Just to make sure I'm reading it right... the next Game day is SUNDAY March 28th, right?
Yep, checkin is supposed to start at about 11 am, and after the players and NPCs are all checked in, game goes live and then I get the meat grinder going.Paradigm said:
In short this is how it goes. You show up at the site, and get into costume. (full armor and such are required unless such is said on site. Normaly its not to hot or cold to be in full gear.) You checkin and pay your money, and also do logistics. If you have some idea as to what you want ahead of time, people will love you. (Side point, this is for PCs. If you want to NPC, show up in dark clothing that will look good with the diffrent tunics and such on if, and check in. No need to pay as NPCs are free at gamedays.)
After you checkin, most people warm up a bit and spar and the such. If your not a local to the game or gamearea, then talk to the person in charge of the day (me in this case) to storyline how and why your here with everyone else.
A few details for just my gamdays. I do make the players wonder around quite a bit, so good footwear is good and expect to play a lot of the game away from the start area in the woods somewhere. Also most (if not all) of my gamedays take place a little outside of the normal town area (or a lot) so dont expect to see a lot of the normal local NPCs. In part this is becouse a lot of the event staff is PCing at the gameday, and so are not avalable.
