The Passing of a Hero

As daylight faded on this day, so too was the candle snuffed out of one of Acarthia's greatest heroes of our time. His Grace, Duke Sir Jonathan Tiberion, has succumbed to his grievous wounds. Many hoped and speculated that he would eventually recover and be well again, and be able to join many of his vassals in their public celebrations throughout the streets and villages. Whatever it was that pierced the flesh of His Grace, it was a heinous weapon. We can only hope that somehow that the magic it possessed faded away with the death of Dargok, but the leaders of Three Spires in Tiatar have assured many that weapons such as these, don't just vanish or wane. Who now carries it and how long before we see it again, in the hands of some violent being, wishing death upon the human race?

Her Grace, Duchess Iliana Tiberion, has not been taken the death of her husband all too well, and rightfully so, for a hero such as he, we should all grieve for. She has been spending long nights by his shrouded remains, deep in the Tiberion crypts, where many of his proud ancestors surely await him. These will be difficult shoes to fill, but rest assured that Duchess Iliana will rise to the occasion and begin the rebuilding that is neccessary after such a long war. The people are weary , but peace is on the horizon.

Rest well Your Grace! You have served this Duchy with honor and distinction, and the people loved you throughout your days and will continue to hold your memory within their hearts. Let him be the guiding light should the darkness ever fall on our duchy again!
