As May comes to a close, we all know that Heroes Week is a time for remembering the great heroes of today and yesteryear. This remembrance takes many forms, but in my mind, there’s only one true way to preserve the greatness of a hero:

THEATRE.

SEE
the greatness of heroes come alive on stage!
HEAR their inspiring words!
EXPERIENCE their legacy!

I invite any that wish to partake in the fine art of passing down tales of greatness to join me at the upcoming Heroes Week Theatre Competition! The competition will take place on Sunday, May 28th as lunchtime entertainment for those gathered.

Teams of actors are invited to prepare and perform a short theatrical performance displaying the greatness of a hero of their choice. Heroes from this land, Heroes from lands beyond, recent Heroes, old Heroes; as long as the tale radiates with glorious heroism, it is fair game! Once all teams have performed, team prizes for the first, second, and third place performances will be awarded, as determined by a panel of judges.

I eagerly await what heroes and stories will be told through the magic of theatre!
