Hello all citizens of BriarPass,

My name is Sable and I heard that there was a shadow node in you area. Some terrible rumors about shadows galavanting about, and the like. I am a professor in the Ternian Empire at the Royal Academy of Celestial Affairs and was wondering whom I need speak with involving this node. How it was dealth with and such. My business will be taking me through BriarPass on your next market day. If there is any information please let me know in this dream realm or via messanger pigeon.

I cannot say I have any knowledge of this node in specific, but I've dealt with portals from the plane of Shadow before and will be most interested in assisting you in your research. I seem to remember Squire Jehan, amongst others, assisting in some kind of Shadow escapade of late. Perhaps, he will be able to aid in your studies.

Regardless, I would like to extend my hospitality for while you are in Briarpass. My dwellings are humble, but they are at your disposal. I have some skills in research, they, as well, are at your beck and call.

I am so terribly sorry; I have been overwhelmed with many things. Please accept my deepest apologies. If my mind has not gotten to fuzzy a pigeon was sent to you but, I shall have to send him off again with that message. He is getting on in years and sometimes does not make it to the correct person. I really should invest in a replacement but, you know how salaries go. Any how I am rambling at this point. Sorries. I shall send that message again post haste.

I have no formal training in planar nodes, however I am a student to Thorne, Elemental Knight of Stone, and I am most interested in attaining balance in our plane. Professor Fiefield - Could the recent Shadow disruption have anything to do with this recurrent and pervasive voice asking for return of its possessions? There have been eldritch disruptions in Valdannis as well, of late. Could a Fortannis wide shift in magics be imminent?
