Mine:

Years of loyal logistics service. You served with honor, dignity and sublime sarcasm, you shall be missed.

Early Last Year:

Toddo: Hey Robb, I've always wanted to do a musically themed event and I was wonde...
Robb: Can I write it?!? Amanda will help!
Toddo: Well, that was easy.

Thanks guys, we're just glad everyone had fun and the event seemed to go over so well considering it was a little bit different than your normal LARP.

As some folks know, we recently started re-aligning our lives a bit after we got married last year. Amanda left her full time job to pursue her music career and is now working on that as well as costuming and another part time job. If you are interested in her music you can find more info at this thread I posted in the Fiction and Art section: viewtopic.php?f=9&t=9296

She can also be e-mailed at amanda.c.wells@gmail.com for music or costuming projects. We hope to have her website updated soon with examples of her costumes and her new music.

As for me, well, obviously I had to set the mighty task of running logistics down after things at my job started heating up and I have been spending a lot more time in Indiana with my band. Our first symphonic power metal album will be available sometime in June/July if anyone is into that kind of thing, and I'll let you guys know for sure when it is out. Amanda and I both sing on it :)

Doing the musical opener was a big task, and I'm really grateful to everyone who helped out. We're not sure when we'll be LARPing this year, or at what chapters since our life is so different now, but we hope to see you guys wherever we turn up.

Again, thank you to all staff, NPCs, and PCs, for making this event one we will never forget.

-Robb and Amanda

I really enjoyed the musically-themed event.

I've been LARPing for more years than I care to count and it's rare when you get to participate in something really different. I thought the event was very well done.

Thank you, Robb and Amanda!

Robb and Amanda,

I have only seen either of you perform once at a tournament. One song performed in a dusty tavern... It still resonates in my mind as one of the pinnacles of my LARPing experience. Thank you for that.

I wish you both the best of luck in your musical careers, but, taking into account your amazing talents, I doubt luck will have anything to do with it.

Here's hoping you find your way back here as often as you like. You have certainly left your mark. I'd like to see that you enjoy it.

PS: If you do end up releasing any of the songs for commercial release I'll be sure to promote the crap out of it for you! Gotta Support our own!

Holy. Musical. Event. Batman.

Robb and Amanda, it warrants repeating: You are awesome, epically talented people. Thank you so much for making this event a reality. I was honored to be a part of it as an NPC.

That being said, the world really needs a soundtrack of the event...

"Staves of the Songbringer"
by Robb Graves and Amanda Wells
Includes such classics as...
- The Songbringer's Introduction
- The Traitorous Vision
- Gwen's Return
- Joys of the Dead
- Duel of the Spellsingers
- The Crypt Opens

I would totally pay for a copy of that.

Definitely one of my most unique and favorite larp weekends... I, and I'm sure the other veteran players, also appreciate the nod to the older plotline from back in the day with Olliver Songbringer. I love all the RP that ensued with wonderings of the former duke being less than honorable, and seeing the various people either defend the duke or willingly entertain the idea of his corruption.

BTW- the mage I played that summoned that false vision of Henry Songbringer... totally backlashed it on purpose for you all. HEHE Then you let me into your healer's guild. SIlly Ashbans.

You should come on and do creepy taunting in the background for "Joys of the Dead" when we record it... *wink wink nudge nudge*

Robb and Amanda... you're so amazing! I'm speechless, really, because this event was the most amazing and fun thing in the world. I can't thank you enough for making music such an important thing. It means an incredible amount to me, both OOG and (ESPECIALLY) IG for Alda. I dunno if you know this, but Alda was going through some HUGE internal conflict, because she never realized the power of melody could be used for evil and such like that. You made her fear the corruption of music and the risk in playing it, then you brought back the hope and love of melody x 100!! Epic plot = epic character development. Thank you sosososo much!

And yes, this CD must happen. I need to have a way to listen to those amazing songs as frequently as I want! It was ... just so amazing! Bah! I can't say it enough!!!

<3 you guys are great. Thanks again for everything!!!

So, you should totally be on the CD, too. I am going to write the full song that Oliver wrote for Gwendalyn. I'm so stoked to have another recording project to do. Join me on it! <3

You guys wrote a totally awesome event and uniquely original!

I'm going to also request that said CD be made and available for purchase. I only got to hear bits of it throughout the weekend, but the parts I did hear were amazing.

Thank you to Amanda and Robb - two amazingly talented people - for sharing your talent and vision with us in a truly unique and memorable experience.

Eee! Amanda I'd be so honored! Please keep me in the loop :) I was totally going to elaborate on that melody as well, and write some parts for Natalia (because IG she is going to use that melody to teach Alda how to actually read and write music, yaaaay!!!)

This is so freaking amazing! <3!!!
