The zombie apocalypse

Are you prepared?

If you have a zombie survival kit (and I know a lot of you do) what is in yours? Help your fellow humans get prepared. After all, they say the end of the world is this Saturday.

In addition, you come across anything that you feel would be useful during the zombie apocalypse, post it here so that others can learn about it as well.

Dom, check out the post I made today. Apparently the CDC has acknowledged the zombie threat, and wants us to be prepared! :whaa:

I survived the Zombie Apocalypse. I have a business card to prove it.

Of course, that was for sampling a hot sauce of the same monicker, which consisted of some quantity of ghost peppers.

So it's really more of a "congrats, stupid..." kind of card.

And yes, it tasted like stabbing.

something I ran across the other day that I find quite interesting and incredibly useful:

This is a 9 inch bracelet made out of cobra-weaved paracord. Each inch of the bracelet, once unraveled is approximately a foot of cord. You can never have enough paracord.

They need to make a shirt out of that.

After all, Charlie Bronson's always got rope, and they always end up using it.

how do you type in an Irish brogue?

It's ok, my question was mostly rhetorical.

Been there, done that. Freaked the people out when I suddenly was missing my cool mesh vest but had over 200 feet of paracord at my disposal. Of course, it took me the better part of 4 hours to weave the thing once I had the technique down.

Re a story we just aired at 5:30am...

[CG :CGVIZ-1 line Banner with Tab\12 On Health\Zombie Prepardness?]
AND THE CENTERS FOR DISEASE CONTROL AND PREVENTION WANTS YOU TO BE READY FOR A ZOMBIE APOCALYPSE.
YES, REALLY. IT'S ISSUING ZOMBIE PREPAREDNESS ADVICE ON THE CDC WEBSITE AS A WAY TO GET PEOPLE TO THINK ABOUT HOW TO PREPARE FOR DISASTERS LIKE HURRICANES OR DISEASE PANDEMICS. TURNS OUT, THESE SCENARIOS HAVE A LOT IN COMMON. IN FACT, PEOPLE WERE SO INTERESTED IN KNOWING WHAT TO DO, THE WEBSITE CRASHED TEMPORARILY. SOME OF THEIR TIPS INCLUDE STOCKPILING FOOD, WATER AND MEDICINE.

I think it is a very cool way to inform people about how to get their safety on. ;) It's like the ol' spoonful of sugar adage.

Of course, they don't mention stockpiling ammo and so on but truthfully, until the emergency services started asking for braaaaaaaaaaains, you'd want them to handle the issue anyways.

One of my favorite all time Simpson Quotes:

*BLAM!*
Bart: "Way to go Homer! You killed the Zombie Flanders!"
Homer: "He was a zombie?"
