Traverse Formal dinner invite

This is to give basic info about Alliance Traverse City's annual Formal Dinner.

The dinner gives us a chance to wear our best costumes, put on our best roleplay attitudes and share a meal in an in-game atmosphere.

In-Game stuff: This is a dinner to honor the adventurers that battled Blood Drakes and Pirates in the Blood Islands. It is also an occasion for the Kingdom of Valdanis to give promotions (knighting and such), give out the kingdom's honors and to hold its annual auction featuring magic items, ritual scrolls, components and items of prestige. There will also be dignitaries from other Kingdoms making connections and supplying political intrigue for our affair. Games, diversions and music will also be there to help with the mood. A few merchants will also be on hand to buy items from adventurers.

Out-of-Game stuff: This is a non-combat event (as we hold the Dinner in a hall that we rent for the day). We also use this event as a fund raising opportunity. For the OOG fundraiser we hold an auction which includes items donated from members (like you) and some of these items are not neccessarily things that could be used in-game (like actual swords). We designate the proceeds of each auction to a specific need for the chapter (this years proceeds are going to our land/building fund). Even though this is a non-combat event, players will still need to pre-reg for the event. Things like production items, goblin stamp production and the like are still available for you to make use of.

Even if you did not attend the June Blood Island event you are encouraged to attend this event. The more people we have, the better the In-Game mood will be.

I also posted this topic in Chicago and South Michigan, as they are chapters that had members that attended our June event. Again, even if you are not from any of these chapters and want to make the trip, by all means come. We would love to have you.

For more info about the Out-Of-Game auction, or other details about this event, check out Traverse City's OOG forum.

Thanks and see you at the event,

Matt and Beverly - Alliance Traverse City
