Two NPCs needing a ride from Denver to November game.

Hello, Jack here, the one who played the NPC that got called the "King's Scribe" and wielded the Halberd in later combats at last game. My girlfriend Quinn (aka "the Pumpkin Lady") and I plan to attend the next game as NPCs, and are in need of a ride.

We are located at roughly Belleview and Federal, in South Denver. We each have a sleeping bag, a pillow, and a backpack, and I think she will be bringing makeup cases again, plus possibly some extra costumes if there is room.

Please contact Quinn at 720 998 1994 if you can offer a ride.

As I had mentioned before, I also need a ride. Thus there is a backup plan that we can use if we can't get a ride.

There is a shuttle from DIA to the Colorado Springs airport. It leaves at 5:30 PM and gets to Colorado Springs airport at 7:40 PM. If there are 3 of us, we can get a group discounted price of $42 each. So if you can get to the airport, like on a bus or something, we could go from there.

The Colorado Springs airport is about 35 miles from the site. From the Colorado Springs airport, it is likely that someone will be able to pick us up (e.g. if they are full they can drop their passengers off, then come back and pick us up). If that is not possible, then we could take a taxicab from the airport to the site. I believe the taxicabs are about $3 per mile, so about $105 total, but if there are three of us, we could split the price so it would only be about $35 more for each of us. So a total of $77 per person in the worst case.

Another possible approach that might be even more direct is:

- I take a bus and meet you at your house.
- From your house, we use taxi / car service to take us directly to the site. I think we can get a taxi for $3 per mile, and it is 72 miles from your house to the site. So that would be a total of $72 for each of us.

Just to consolidate the various requests for a ride, Emily posted the following on the Alliance LARP Denver group:

Is anyone from the Boulder/Denver area going to the event who could give me a ride? I live in Boulder, but I can take the bus to most places in Denver. I'm planning on NPCing. Thanks!

And a reminder for people who might have car space:

If you give an NPC a ride to game, you get goblin points for your gas receipt!

Unfortunately, Jack and I can't really afford the costs being mentioned for a shared ticket. We can promise to be inoffensive car passengers, though. :-) Plus, gobbies and additional NPCs for encounters and RP!

Jeremiah was going to give us a ride, but he will now be unable to attend this game. :-( I hope everything works out okay for him.

Still two NPCs needing a ride from southern Denver. Anyone have a seat or two free? I don't know who's attending to make any more specific requests. At this point, we are even open to two separate rides, since I know having one seat open is more likely than a whole backseat, although we would prefer to stick together.

Lacey is offering on the Alliance Facebook group now. Which is amazing of her, since she can't even attend the event.

Hey, hit me up with a pm. I can get you to and from game. Emily can't make it, so more trunk space for whomever is going.

Thought I would bump this thread for re-use. I'm looking for a ride to the January Faire day. I live in Denver (Sunnyside/Highlands Neighborhood) at 38th and Federal, but can get to most anywhere in the Denver metro area to make things easy. I won't have too much luggage, and if vehicle space is an issue, then I can leave long items at home (physrep donations). I can pay in for gas money, or buy you breakfast or something.

Please let me know if anyone has an open seat and is willing to give me a ride. PM, or email Nighteyes_5 (AT) Yahoo.com, or I can provide a phone number to finalize details.

You will probably do better with a new, separate thread, especially since this one specifies November in the title, and you're coming from a significantly different part of the city than we are. You can use the thread I just posted as an example of what information I have found helpful in the past. :-) If you are going to be NPCing, mentioning that is good as well, as people get gobbies for gas if they bring an NPC.
