Two Week Rule Reminder

Hi Everyone

Two HoP's ago, Scott began the two week rule. Henry maintained it and so do I. Some of you are new and might not have heard it, others may have just forgotten...

If you are sending anything to the HQ staff that requires our attention, these must be in NO LATER than two weeks prior to the next event.

In the last few days I've gotten half a dozen writeups or other plot requests. If you send in something the week of an event, you will not get a response before the event. The week leading up to the event is crunch time when we are finalizing the weekend writeup, putting the finishing touches on special props, completing writeups that were submitted before the deadline, trying to work in craftsman and racial themes (which we can't get until the pre-regges are completed) and other last minute pre-event tasks.

Now granted, the span between events was shorter than usual this month, but that makes it all the harder for the plot team to get everything together before the next event. We ask for your patience and understanding in this matter.

This also goes for any magic item or other General Manager requests. If you send me a request the Tuesday of an event, there is no way it's going to get done.

Most of you only have to get ready for one person, yourself. Imagine trying to get things ready for 40-80 people and yourself. The staff cannot wait until the last minute to start preparing and we can't accomodate last minute requests.

Scott

Makes perfect sense to me. Thanks for all your work guys! :)
