Vengeance and Controlled Spirit Store

Does Vengeance cast on a spirit stored in a bottle go off in the following situations:
1) When the character whose spirit is stored in the bottle suffers a Killing Blow while not in contact with their bottle?

2) When a character other than the stored character is holding the bottle and suffers a Killing Blow?
 
In both cases, the Vengeance will not go off.

Think of it this way: A Vengeance will only trigger if the spirit enchanted with the Vengeance ritual is in (or, in the case of CSS, in contact with) the body/vessel suffering a Killing Blow.
