The Court of Rivervale would like to invite anybody attending the October Gathering to the Vigil and Knighting of Kendrick Eisenhal of Rivervale.
Kendrick's Vigil will be held on the first night of the gathering, from 2 bells until 3 bells the morning of Friday October 12th in the area surrounding the Rivervale Estate in New Acarthia. Vigils are a time of reflection, advice, and gathering one’s self for taking on the mantle of Knighthood. Vigils are a time for one-on-one or small groups conversations with the soon to be knight. Those wishing to speak with the Knight Aspirant should check in with Belswin Torrid when they arrive. They should be quiet and respectful of the conversation already going on and they should wait patiently for their turn to speak to Kendrick. Once it is your turn to speak with Kendrick please take a moment to enjoying this once in a life experience to bond with him, offer advice, talk about the future or the past, share a drink, give him a gift and then make way for the people behind you.
Kendrick's Knighting will be held at 3 bells the afternoon of Friday October 12th in front of the Tavern. The Court of Rivervale will hold a short Knighting Ceremony where Kendrick will be elevated to Knighthood and take his Oath of Fealty. Immediately following the closing of court a receiving line will be held where the New Knight will make himself available for congratulations. The Court of Rivervale asks that everybody remember that is a formal occasion and please conduct themselves appropriately.
