Hey friends,
Thank you all for helping make the setup and breakdown of the last event super smooth! We look forward to this next event, and hope you all will be able to chip in again this time.
As some of you know, there is so much to set up, clean up, and breakdown each event to make the magic happen, and our Chapter depends on our community for volunteers to help out CHI Staff with these various tasks. We’d like to distribute the volunteer support we receive from all of you fairly across each part of the Chapter’s operations. To that end, we’re providing a quick outline of what needs to get done each event to make sure things run smoothly! Our hope is to build a culture in our chapter where everyone chips in a little bit to make the work lite on everyone.
Pre-Event Set Up Tasks:

- Touch base with one of the Leads on CHI Staff for a task.
- The site opens at 6pm, and only CHI Staff are allowed to be on site before then. If you are volunteering to help out with specific sets of tasks before 6pm, please contact Jared, Amanda or Nay to be added to a list of approved Set Up Volunteers.
- We encourage and ask folk to hang out with us through Sunday morning to help us clean up and break down the various buildings we use, and then join us for “Afters” brunch right afterwards around 11a.
- In addition to our gratitude, you also will be rewarded with goblin stamps! Make sure to sign one of the volunteer lists on the Clipboards so that you get credit. See Nay if you need help with this
- If you are sleeping on-site in the rooms, please make sure someone in your group changes the trash and sweeps out the room before you leave after packing your stuff. We’re hoping to make this a regular expectation.
