Ward casting from outside the structure.

This maybe a more regional thing but it came up in the attached post. I have always seen it play like a circle of power where the caster has to be in the structure that they are casting a ward on.

1. Can a ward be cast by a caster from the outside the warded area?
2. If it can is the some type of physical requirement like touching the structure that should be follow?

1. Yes
2. The packet has to make contact with the target. It can be touchcast or thrown.
