Hard to believe. 20 years ago this August was our first Ashbury event, in 1992. It took place at a horse farm and was just a daily event. Our first weekend event was a month later, and soon after we started modules in our basement in Brooklyn.

We were NERO back then. The first NERO event was in 1989 ...

Sounds like an awesome thing to marketttttt!!!!! Mike, do you see yourself writing a blog about it or would you consider writing something for publicities sake? That'd be pretty interesting to read your perspective, thoughts and memories over 20 years of the game.

What we should get are players talking about their first time playing and what it was like. Something to celebrate the occasion; we can then put it on the web page somewhere... if everyone wrote just a paragraph or two... and I can ask some old players who I am still in contact with who don't play to write something, too.

Congrats Ashbury!

I would be happy to contribute a couple paragraphs. This is the chapter I played first, and the place I fell in love with the game. Life has been far more exciting since.

I hate to be a downer, but we'll only be 19 years old in August. Our first event took place in 1993. I am certain about the year because I JUST turned 16 and was just old enough to join.

But, happy 19!

You're right. This is our 20th season! I was working on the Rumor Sheets, saw the "20th season" and got season and anniversary confused. (Like people think the 1800s was the 18th century when it was actually the 19th century)

Well, that gives us a year to prepare the big celebration!

I was a rogue. I got killed... TWICE... once by JTF (R.I.P. my friend).
