Are death elixirs necromancy or just really illegal poison?

What denotes an effect as necromantic?

Per page 98 of the ARB:
Necromancy: Cause Critical Wounds, Cause Disease, Cause Light Wounds, Cause Mortal Wounds, Cause Serious Wounds, Cause Wounds, Chaos, Chaos Blade, Chaos Storm, Control Undead, Create Undead, Desecrate, Drain, Help Undead, Wither. These can all be resisted with the Resist Necromancy skill. I call upon chaos to .

Life and Death are currently their own effect group, Gift.

Check with your local chapter about the legality of Death Elixirs in game.

Additionally, the Chaos carrier is mechanically Necromantic, in that it can be resisted with Resist Necromancy or Cloak Necromancy, even if the source is a Chaos Elemental.
