Who is this Lurin Guy?

So apparently Durl missed the fun again last marketday when he got tired and took a nice nap by the pond. Theres been alot of talkin and stuff about this vampire guy Lurin so durls gots two questions.

First, what is a vampire, is it some kind of real big undead as it seems alot of people didn't want to fight it so it must be pretty tough.

Second, how come alot of people seem to know this dead in particular, it seems to Durl that he's been around before?

A vampire is a lord of the undead, they have many diverse abilities and can create undead from the very bones of a fallen friend.

Lurin and Runir have ventured to Wayside many times with me, we are all of the Order of the Earthen Fist. They had recently disappeared and were not heard from. Last market day I saw Lurin and Runir again, except they had been transformed into vampires. I do not know what will take place next, but I will do my best to protect the innocents of Briarpass from the undead that they call forth.
