Winter Survival in Pauper's Launch

((This as in IG message from a PC addressed to the wider PC community to coordinate a PC Driven Group IBGA for Rathfall Winter 2024))

Greetings fellow Unbounded,

Thank you for your hard work and sacrifice during the last Market to resolve the latest crisis. Though we have mitigated most of the catastrophic forces that were arrayed against the City of Rathfall, some areas suffered more than others, specifically Pauper’s Launch. Between the roils of the Matriarch’s Storm and the aftermath of The Blood River, many homes, neighborhoods, and roads were severely damaged in an already stricken district.

If The People of the Launch are to survive the coming Winter, repairs and preparations will need to be made, and the community needs helping hands. The Order of the Pearled Heart is dedicated to supporting those in most need, especially the citizens and refugees in Pauper’s Launch. We humbly ask for your help with the following tasks, in addition to anything that Syr Tully, the Lord Protector of the Launch, might ask of us:

• Mundane repairs to neighborhood infrastructure and housing that suffered wind and flood damage, such as exposed and broken exterior walls and windows, blocked street drains and sewage, and damaged roads and paths ((OOG Note: Any Profession in Trade Skill like Carpentry, Masonry, Construction, etc. would be indispensable))
• Petitioning the Crown and Great Houses for donations of coin, personnel, and supplies: ((OOG Note: leveraging House Loyalty, or Professions Diplomat, Philanthropist, or Bureaucrat, etc. would be helpful))
• Winter Preparations: helping preserve foodstuffs, weave blankets, gather firewood, or negotiate favorable trade deals to secure supplies. ((OOG Note: Professions in mundane crafts such as Cooking, Weaving, Hunter, or Trader, or even just a willing pair of hands to perform labor would be helpful )).
• Donations of Coin or other resources, no matter how large or small ((OOG Note: A non IBGA to help out- this total coin would go directly to any costs of rebuilding and repairs))

The Order of the Pearled Heart will be distributing and coordinating these resources to the Launch’s various Communities through The Gloaming Rose Orphanage and Soup Kitchen near Strawman’s Market at Westermin Bridge and Trenet Lane. Please let any of us in the Order know if you are able to provide any assistance.

I would point out that a ranger could apply his skills to hunt for additional food. A single good sized buck could feed a substantial number of people for a day, and the hide can make good warm clothing.
