Winter Writeups *IMPORTANT*

Greetings, friends!

First off I would like to thank EVERYONE who participated in the HQ 2009 season be they PC, NPC, Staff, Owner or the mice that zipped along the walls and made me think I had the DTs. While the weather didn't cooperate with us at times I hope everyone involved had fun in this grand experiment in entertainment we call Alliance HQ, I know I did.

On to business. It has been decided that we will be allowing 5 (five) actions during the off-season for winter writeups. Please check the announcements section above the general posts on this very forum for what constitutes an "action" in a plot writeup. Any newer players, and we had a TON this year (Whee!), should definately check the "New Plot Writeup Guidelines" post out. Heck, if you're a more experienced player it can't hurt, in my advanced age I tend to forget things. I hope everyone enjoys their off season, and I hope to see you all next year!

Toddo, do you have a deadline for these submissions?
 
I'm thinking the cutoff for winter writeups will be 60 days before our first event next year, though this is subject to revision. The hard cutoff will be announced when the schedule for next year is announced. Hope that helps at least somewhat.

The Deadline for Winter Writeup submissions will be February 23rd 2010. This is to allow the Plot Team enough time to review and respond to any submissions sent while not scrambling to finish them and also write the opener.
 
3 weeks until the winter writeups deadline, I've recieved several but I'm sure we have more players who want to submit writeups. Please note that after the 23rd we cannot guarantee responses to winter action writeups.

Additional: I am also requesting Character Histories, if you are planning on PCing this season I would ask that you submit an updated character history, even if we have one on file. Updated histories are important because it gives us an idea what characters and encounters were important to your PC and lets us tailor responses and personal plot to what would interest your character most. We also have a dedicated plot member (Erik Stehle) working on personal plotlines for the upcoming season and the more histories I give him the more fun YOU can have at our events!

Would you guys want character histories even for people who's characters aren't necessarily from Icenia? And in that case if you did would you want character histories from people who can only attend 2 or 3 games closer to the time they can actually play? Thanks for the consideration, can't wait to come back again this year. :)
 
I would happily take a look at it, but cannot write character history plot for you without the permission and approval of your home chapter's plot team. This isn't to say that these permissions cannot be obtained, collaboration between the chapters is one of the biggest things I want to encourage but I cannot write character history encounters for a non-HQ PC without the express approval of your home chapter's plot team and your home chapter would have the right to review and approve/deny any such encounter before it ran. I'd also be open to other plot teams sending encounters to run in HQ for the rabid chapter hoppers, subject to the same terms.

i am updating my character history.. but it's taking a while cause i have to look crap up in the newsletters. i'll send that later.
 
I actually sent in 2 - one for each character. However, I only got one automated response. Is the least confusing thing for me to do to resend and note it may be a duplicate?

REMINDER- The Deadline for winter writeup submissions is tomorrow at midnight. I've gotten a bunch, but not all of the Baronies have responded and that's a huge chunk of our playerbase. This is pretty much the last call for people who want to come into game in two months with the possibility of having info that the other PCs don't. :)

I sent in my winter write-up and resent my character history but I only received one response from the automated responder. I just wanted to make sure that you received both of them.
