I would like to start an alt to just throw goblin blankets on for a while. In case I get the urge to swing instead of cast, I'll have a head start.

Can I start it at SoMi or do I need to move him to another chapter. I heard things about limits on goblin blankets per chapter and such.

As a follow-up, could someone break down how to blanket events that I do not attend at other chapters? I know I need to be a member there and such. Do I pre-reg? Can I blanket the alt and attend as my main? I'm sure this is all cut and dry somewhere, but I can't find it spelled out.

Hey Joe,

You can only give 1 monthly blanket per chapter to a character so its advantageous, if your so inclined, to have multiple characters in several databases. I have an alt a character in almost ever chapter I have played and I know several folks that have a lot of different characters throughout the Alliance.

As for blanketing an event that you have not attended. You can contact the logistics of a chapter in which you have are a member and ask to spend goblin stamps to purchase the blankets for your character. If you dont have the right amount of stamps, several chapters offer players the right to "Pay No Play" and get the xp for their character without spending goblins.

As far as blanketing guidelines this should help a bit:

You cannot gain Event Blankets on two characters for the same event.
You cannot gain mutiple blankets on the same character in the same time period.
You cannot gain blankets from an event run during the time you were at another event.
You cannot gain more than 1 monthly goblin stamp blanket on a character
You cannot purchase more than 1 monthly goblin stamp blanker per chapter

To sum it up.

1 blanket per character, 1 character per chapter and 1 weekend blanket per weekend is the maximum you could have. You'll find that SoMI, Chicago, and TC largely do not compete on events so I invite you to come play or blanket with us.

A follow-up:
Once you create a character at a chapter can you blanket him from different chapters on different months? For example if I start blanketing him in Chicago, but the gobbies dry up. Can I have him blanket in TC where I have gobbies left over, but no character? So with two characters, one gets goblin blankets at SoMi, the other get gobbies at Chicago/TC depending on where I have the gobbies to spend.

Hi Joe,

For Monthly gobbies:

Each Character is considered to have a "home chapter" which is the chapter where they are based and which tracks their permanent record. You can only gobby your monthly blanket in your "home" chapter. You can transfer your characters home chapter as much as you want so if you did run out of Gobbies in say Ohio and transfered that character to TC you would be able to resume blanketing until you ran out of gobbies.

Some chapters ask that you purchase a membership in order to us goblins to blanket so please ask before getting started.

For Event Blankets:

You can notidy the logistics team of the event you will be blanketing up to 3 months after the event and they will notify your "home" chapter to have them add the XP to your character.
