Broken Shards Game 1 - Preregistration

Welcome citizens and visitors of Wagonslist!

This is for the Alliance Oregon February 22-24, 2019 event at Camp Kiwanilong, in the Broken Shards campaign! For detailed information on the Broken Shards campaign, please see the official announcement!

Pre-reg is now OPEN!! (If you have missed the pre-reg deadline please still send in a pre-reg if you are planning on coming to the event, while you may not get the discount you can help make Friday night check-in faster and easier for all of us.)

We will be using the current 2.0 playtest rules and this game will have an XP cap of 25! Characters over this limit may participate, but you will be required to cut your card down to 25 XP. If you have questions about how to cut a character down, please email Oregon logistics!

Magic Items and Production: LCO and Restricted magic items that did not originate in the Broken Shards campaign cannot be brought into game. We also ask that you bring as little production and coin as possible into the game, as an influx of production into the game will disrupt the mood and feeling we’re aiming for. Bringing in only as much production as you would get as a starting character would be ideal. You may be used to having free production points from previous 2.0 playtest events, however that is not available for this campaign!

Pre-reg will close on Friday, February 8th, at 11:59 PM. We will give you 15 goblin stamps if you pre-reg by this time. This gives you 12 days to pre-reg and receive 15 goblin stamps!

To Pre-Reg, please visit the event sign up page!
If you are an existing player for any chapter but have not previously attended a playtest event, do not sign up for a new account! Instead go to the password reset form and enter an email address you think logistics has for your record. If that doesn't work, email logistics and we will get it sorted out. You will not have your existing characters if you sign up for a new account and the process to fix this will make both us and the database developer very very sad.

IMPORTANT:
  • If you are a PC and have spells to prepare, you will need to set memorization lists. If this is not complete it means you may end up going into game without spells prepared! :( Please refer to this link for instructions on how to create a memorization list and set it in your pre-reg. Heal your friends and harm your enemies by remembering to set your memorization list!
  • If you are going to be an alchemist list your chosen recipes in your pre-reg notes.
  • If you are going to be a caster in Broken Shards list your chosen spells for your spellbook in your pre-reg notes.
  • if you are using goblin stamps to increase your production or coin and want to walk into game with that tag, it needs to be in your pre-reg notes! (you may be noticing a theme here)
  • If you have any questions about spellbooks, recipe selection, or goblin stamps, please reply to this thread or ask our friendly staff/marshals in the #rules-discussion and #playtests-rules channels of our Discord server.
  • If you have already pre-registered you may either email logistics with this information (logistics@allianceoregon.com) or remove and redo your pre-registration in the CMA.
  • Major omissions that hold up check-in will lead to your pre-registration being considered incomplete and you will be subject to the at-the-door rate of $70!

Event Fees -
  • BRAND NEW PCs PAY HALF ON THEIR FIRST GAME!
  • PC: $70.00 at the door, $60.00 if you pre-reg.
  • Advance page: $50.00 at the door, $40.00 if you pre-reg
  • Page: $40.00 at the door, $30.00 if you pre-reg
  • NPC: Free to play, NPC food is $20.00 if you pre-reg before the deadline and state in your pre-registration notes that you want to be on the NPC meal plan, as well as any allergies or dietary restrictions you may have.
You may pre-pay via PayPal by sending payment to paypal@allianceoregon.com along with your full name and that you are pre-paying for game (so we don't think its a donation). Please limit it to just this game at this time.

If you do not wish to pre-pay using PayPal, you can also use our new Square Cash account by either using the app and sending us money via our $allianceoregon cashtag or by clicking on this link: http://cash.me/allianceoregon

Cabins List - Wagonslist
Please use the above link to sign up for your bunks. I will be moving (not removing) people who do not pre-reg. Please do not move or remove ANYONE without their permission. Please do not move ANYONE on the Non-pre-reg column unless their name is on the Pre-reg list above. We have plenty of sleep space but obviously it's good to have sleeping spots for those who we know are going!

The Electric Cabin
is reserved permanently for people with medical needs. If you are one of those people, please email logistics@allianceoregon.com with your name. You do not need to include the nature of your medical need if you do not wish, but please ensure this is a MEDICAL need, not "I need a cell phone charger."

If we get to site and there are still empty bunks, players with a medical need can invite members of their PC group to stay there as well after checking in with logistics to ensure that there is space available. However, if anyone shows up and needs that space, players without medical needs will be required to give up spots if more people need electricity than there are empty bunks!

If you feel you should be on this list and are not, please email logistics and let us know. Thanks!

If you have questions, feel free to post them here, PM me, or email logistics@allianceoregon.com.

Woo-Hoo! Pre-Registration in and Cabin Secured! Where mah dwarves at????

If you want to redo your skills, please fill out the spirit forge request form and either myself, Barb, or Rick will give you the spirit forge your character so desperately requires.

If you are a Seattle-based character, please reach out to Seattle logistics to do so.

Remember that new characters start with one (1) tag for each weapon skill/style they have, as well as 12 copper and an armor tag equal to either your class+wear extra armor total or your repped armor, whichever is less.

For players concerned about not having the crafting skills/coin to get the equipment you want to start with in game, you can still purchase up to 100 additional production points at the rate of 1 goblin stamp to 1 production point. You do not need to have a crafting skill for these purchased production points and you don't have to pay coin for it. SPEAKING OF WHICH, you can also purchase coin at the rate of 1 goblin stamp to 1 copper coin. This is also an excellent reason to pre-reg on or before February 8th so you can make logistics happy and get 15 free goblin stamps which you can put towards equipment!!!! Additionally you can get 60 gobbies for backstories approved by the Broken Shards plot! Please see the campaign announcement for details on submitting your background.

Full details on Oregon's goblin stamp policy can be found here. Note that LCO ritual scrolls (and restricted ritual scrolls) that originate outside the campaign will not be recognized by ritual marshals in Broken Shards (never mind that none of you would be able to cast them for at least several games :p).

There have also been some questions about the availability of food/cooking on site. Oregon has an official NPC meal plan for those who pre-reg before the deadline, but does not run an official PC meal plan. At least one player has indicated they will be selling food for in-game coin, however Oregon staff is not responsible for the availability and contents thereof. The kitchen, fridges outside of the kitchen, and freezers are all open to everyone to use. All we ask in return is common courtesy since you're working around other people. :D

If you are going to be an alchemist in Broken Shards please list your chosen recipes in your pre-reg notes! If you are going to be a caster in Broken Shards please list your chosen spells for your spellbook in your pre-reg notes! This will save logistics (and you, and everyone else in line!!) a ton of time at check-in! If you have already pre-registered you may either email logistics with this information (logistics@allianceoregon.com) or remove and redo your pre-registration in the CMA. I will be marking all pre-regs without this information as incomplete and you will be subject to the at-the-door rate of $70! Similarly if you are using goblin stamps to increase your production or coin and want to walk into game with that tag, it needs to be in your pre-reg notes!

If you are going to be a PC caster from here on out you need to create your spell list in the CMA and remember to click Set Memorization in your pre-reg. We cannot do this for you! If this is not complete it means you may end up going into game without spells prepared! :( Heal your friends and harm your enemies by remembering to set your memorizations! Instructions are located here. This also applies to the Aer'Astria campaign!

*Note that prior to the release of 2.0, spellbooks are still created with 1.3 spells. However you can memorize any 2.0 spell as long as you have a spell of the appropriate level in your 1.3 spellbook. If you have any questions about spellbooks or recipe selection please reply to this thread or ask our friendly staff/marshals in the #rules-discussion and #playtests-rules channels of our Discord server.

We've switched tracks and will be doing 2.0 spellbooks to save a little bit of trouble down the line. If you haven't done this it's fine, we'll handle it at check-in.
