Hey all! 2.0 is coming soon and it’s time to start getting ready!

You will need to convert all of your production that has been updated, as well as all ritual scrolls (even ones that didn’t change) and all magic items (even ones from the 2.0 playtests). Components will remain as they are and do not need to be converted. Anything not converted will not be valid for use in game after May 31, and anything not converted before June 1, 2020 will be permanently lost to the mists. However magic items’ new logistics periods are calculated based on June 1st, regardless of when you actually submit them to us.

This is a HUGE undertaking and will be a drain on your volunteer logistics staff. As a result, we are going to be implementing the following rules, and will be following them strictly. Please follow them as well, and if you have questions, ask Barbara, Corin or email logistics@allianceoregon.com.

  1. Conversions will not be happening at events. If you wish to convert your items for an event (like, say, Big West, or the Aer’Astrian July game), this must be submitted at least TWO WEEKS prior to an event (11:59 PM Friday). Submissions later than 2 weeks prior will be completed for the next event in the list.

  2. Conversions will NOT BE HAPPENING AT EVENTS. Please don’t bring us anything the day of the event. We will not be converting it, even if it’s just 3 tags.

  3. You may merchant at conversion events. Please fill out a Merchant Sheet (you will need to download your own copy), and have it pre-printed with your tags in a single baggie. We’ll give you coin for those tags instead of new tags.

  4. If you would like to do coin exchanges at this time, please email logistics@allianceorgeon.com with the amounts of coin you would like to exchange, and we’ll be prepared for your exchange as well.

To successfully complete your conversion, please do the following:
  1. Fill out the following worksheet with all the production tags you need to have reprinted: Production Conversion Worksheet. Please read the directions on the first page, and fill in the yellow cells only. If a piece of production isn’t listed, it doesn’t need to be converted. Please don’t include it in your packet of tags, and please don’t write in a new line on the worksheet for it.

  2. Use Magic Item conversion tab of the following worksheet to plan your magic item conversions: Magic Item & Ritual Scroll Conversion Worksheet. Email us the following:

    1. 1.3 Magic Item Number(s) Being Converted, e.g. ORE-MI01234

    2. 1.3 rituals value, e.g.
      iF8mxUAEPZZavlNxt61-deOHf4Xs1aTII6Fwub65jEMTR61_ON9rFXn7vSR1dlyZYxzU-u76o9MqfQmBGzxoH7p_zWVu9JpdPji8gi2XXmY9FbAiAQrD-JND48xbYZ4_CeP_yp8t

If an item has multiple batches (i.e. multiple expiration dates) these need to be calculated separately!

    3. 2.0 Magic Item(s) Type, Description, Misc Info, and Rituals, e.g.
      Item (any); ring
      Qcfq-jXujBA1Mxe_PL-13laC1K7DcXNKkSzbFa1JJrtvi8Q-_7DI5QDIx6T-lkPYuI0-KCsHCOHE8ag7kj5NWYetkRB8xBE-YlAFk6j6KqVSK6Zlfk5wjd6E6k4pOaDQ1_PNbJA1

Item (weapon); sword; item recall to Sara
      ZIPk9iQrxZQs8IeAcAxjlGsTdc6ztYhRto4n7SW9zRUXXVOtPgx21e9Pm1x0W76X9vhY61WDhHEm3pwYrSIc4umV5jPX553XDDipK_9trFPEKmZvuGzE3BjFMMiuobRYo_Iv1mLw

    4. Attach a picture of each item physrep
  3. Finally, fill out the Scroll Conversion tab of the Magic Item & Ritual Scroll Conversion Worksheet with all the scrolls you need converted.

To facilitate the 2.0 conversion process, we will be joining Seattle for several conversion parties in advance of the 5/31 launch date. Those will be posted about on facebook, discord and the forums so you can join us there. In addition, we will have the following Oregon conversion party dates:

May 4th: 11 AM, Rick’s house, located in the Beaverton area (DM for address)

June 8th: 11 AM, Krystina’s house, located in the Portland Mall 205 area (DM for address)

If you are unable to make any of these conversion parties, you are welcome to email logistics@allianceoregon.com to see about meeting up with someone to get your tags converted, or you can pick them up at any of our upcoming events, INCLUDING BIG WEST!

Answers to some questions we've been receiving:

-->You should bring all the tags you want converted to the conversion day you choose to attend. This includes production, magic items, and scrolls. Again, ALL SCROLLS AND MAGIC ITEMS must be reprinted.
-->You only need to attend one event or email in your packet for pickup at an event. You do not need to do multiple events if you don't want (but we'll put you to work if you want to come anyways!).
-->You can do tag conversions from anywhere, Magic Item and Scroll conversions from either Seattle or Oregon at these days.

There's a brief mention of coin exchange - are coins changing or is this something else?

This is just referring to exchanging types of coins, e.g. silver for gold.

Got it, thanks!

An additional clarification:
  • Magic Item tags and Ritual Scrolls issued during the playtest (ones on pink paper) do need to be exchanged, however only the below rituals are eligible for conversion. All other rituals and effects are simply converted with the same rituals, e.g you can exchange a 1/day Trap Avoidance item (2.0 ritual changed significantly in the 0.12 packet) or Escape Act scroll (2.0 ritual removed in the 0.12 packet), but you cannot change the rituals on a 3/ever life item or an Empowered Armor scroll you got during the playtest (but these tag IDs still need to be emailed to us so that we can reprint them).
  • The following 2.0 rituals may be changed if they were received/created prior to 02/01/2019: Escape Act, Imbue Magic, Trap Avoidance, Focused Resistance, Store Ability (Mettle, Counteract), Monster Slayer, and any charges of Perfect Riposte greater than 1.
  • The following 2.0 rituals must be changed: Escape Act, Imbue Magic, Assassin's Edge (only if on a ranged weapon)
    • Escape Act: Scroll is worth 250 scroll points, ritual is worth 250 ritual points per charge
    • Imbue Magic Scroll is worth 350 scroll points, ritual is worth 225 ritual points for 1 charge/day, 350 for 2 charges/day, or 475 for 3 charges/day.
Also if it is more convenient for you, we can also convert Seattle magic item tags! Similarly Seattle logistics can now convert tags for Oregon. These will still be marked as items from the original chapter. Due to some back end reasons, you will still need to get Seattle ritual scrolls converted by Seattle and Oregon ritual scrolls through us.

Also, please BRING your magic items or email us pictures of them! The new database wants pictures!

Who do we contact if we find something wrong with the conversion sheet? :)

Email Oregon Logistics or reply to this thread. What'd you notice?

The Spell store (old) in the Oregon sheet doesn't match the ARC sheet for level 9. It's not a huge difference, but just noticed the difference. (550 vs 575)

Must've been an old goof somewhere in the difficulty/reagents by level columns that got fixed on the ARC version after the sheet I copied from forked off. Fixed it and re-copied the relevant data from the ARC sheet for all rituals, just to be sure. Thanks for pointing it out!

Don't forget Conversion Party at my place June 8th! DM me here, on Discord or on FB for the address! If you can't make it's not the end of the world-- You can still do this all by email!

Potentially silly question - if a potion/elixir still exists in 2.0, there's no need to fill out a conversion sheet for it?

Correct. :D

Edit: To be more specific, if the potion/elixir name did not change at all. So all healing potions do need to be exchanged, because they are no longer "cure light wounds" or "cure mortal wounds potions, but rather Healing 5 or Healing 40 potions. For scrolls, if a spell's incant/spell level change, the scroll also needs to be changed.

Sorry to Necro this thread but just found something during conversion....

What do we do with coatings already applied to arrows? I mean a loooong time ago when attaching tags wasn't a thing? Not a big deal if the answer is "you get nothing!!!!" Totally acceptable :) but found 2 quivers of coated arrows with the effects written and signed at the top.

Thanks!

Go ahead and send us an email, we'll provide separated tags at the next game.
