It took over ten minutes for someone to find and get me a life spell. So glad I had brewing skills that day.

Preserving Energies increases the death timer from 5 to 10 minutes, so if it took *over ten minutes* after you died, then you would still have resurrected (unless you had something else that also increased your death timer)

Of course if the enemy didn't killing blow you, then you would have had 12 minutes before rez (the bleed out timer plus death timer), so maybe it was *just* over ten minutes. Wow that was incredibly close! It must have been really exciting.

This was my first event as a PC in over 5 years (I used to play it a lot, then basically stopped, except for a couple times NPCing) so I was really excited to get to use all the v2 stuff! The spells are beefed up, with the spark, meditation, new storm spells, etc. giving me a lot more to do during the fights, and I got to use the new crafting rules and make a bunch of superior equipment.. My favorite fight was that big long fight as well - we were on the back foot the whole time! A lot of the times fights in this game can be pretty easy, so I like it when a fight is tough. I also got to write songs and tell fortunes.

Yep, no killing blow. It was close to 10 minutes at the end (4 minutes watching rengar be down next to me before his rebirth, 3 minutes after he got knocked down again until rescue [with the npc checking my death count then and being surprised I still had 5 minutes to go], 2 minutes for rescue to life him, and an additional minute to get to me) (edit - that math doesn't math right... maybe my counting got messed up somewhere? Or I was counting the last few minutes fast? Edit edit - I was just at 2 minutes in my count one way or another in the chaos), and with a spell thrown across the road too. I honestly thought I was gone by the end, even when I saw others had arrived.

I had an absolute blast, and still didn't get to do half of what I wanted to get done! There were so many story lines happening at once that sounded like fun. But I did get to do a ton, and I'm writing at least some of it down before I forget about it.

-Getting people together for the Quarry Conglomerate mods. The mine shaft fights were fun as heck, and getting to be the one who organized everything was a blast - even the small 'just in and out' group we had that managed to pull off some excellent teamwork to scout the excavator's second form. And the huge final fight at the end with everyone asking me all the pre-fight questions beforehand. The whole thing turned out so well!

-Getting the archon's armor to carry into the final Sunday battle, and getting to talk to our newly formed friend. Hopefully Ben taught him all the ways not to almost get yourself killed trying to help. All the work to gather those ore shards really helped out in the final battle with the goodies we got :)

-The battle for the flag on Saturday. With groups of enemies coming from every direction, and so many people switching in and out the line it felt like a honestly epic battle with flanking and lines surging up and back the whole way. Just the sheer scale of it all was amazing!

-The final Sunday fight! In multiple parts because there was so much there - lucky group seven had a lot happen!
-Finding the first pylon at the same time as the other Chicago group and managing to sandwich them from two angles at once.
-Running down to the docks to hit the group there... only to find two guys just hanging by the lake. We waved. They waved back. Of course the wilderkin were in front.
-The frog pylon fight... When we were falling back after getting hit by three archons, I joined the smaller group of adventurers being led by the frogs to the (I think the last?) pylon, and winding up being in an ad-hoc team without spellcasters and staying to help. And we found the pylon! With an archon right next to it, and my resist stopping the brutal 'voice radius fear, voice radius pin' from knocking most of us down. I actually blew 24 antidotes (yay for cure for what ails you) in less than a minute there. I don't know who tested it, but when we saw he was swinging 30 web, I grabbed one of the shield users (who's name I forgot but who saved the day) to help cover while I grabbed the pylon and ran (I had the immunity from binding from the stonelight archon), taking a once ever life after a few dooms hit me from behind. Got to the road with everyone else falling back through the trees (and they all survived, yay!). Chased, and coming face to face with the three headed wolf on the road with one body and no backup. Lying there watching the curve into the castle and hearing everyone there still fighting. It took over ten minutes for someone to find and get me a life spell. So glad I had brewing skills that day. And that Alex forgot to killing blow (or chose not to because he thought I had a vengence, or was just too surprised I tried to run through like that). And used the life spell to sprint away from the fight back to the castle... and trip and hit the trail hard enough to be out of the fight. Which was fine because I needed a bit after that to take in all that intensity. I've never had that much of an emotional roller coaster from a game before.

-Tea and apple cider at night. I'm glad so many people got to unwind together after all that craziness.

And writing this out I'm starting to see a pattern of me getting people together for a 'just in and out' and things going south. A lot. Not sure if this is good that my caterpillar is now being brave, or what. But I'm glad for everyone who encouraged him to take more of a leadership roll in the future. It was so much fun to have these experiences and help grow with everyone like that. I'm still coming down from everything too!
The creature you fought was a Leshy and ot wasn't an Archon. It was a forest spirit who's glade by bad fortune happen to have a pylon placed there.

-Having the town go ride or die for the rogue Lumere ghost almost immediately before a pantherghast came into town to kill it. Squaring up with Katie in the hallway was so much fun.
So this particular bit was AMAZING to me because talking to Malthius (sp?) was my first "Echo Tribunal Hook" which got me interested in helping in the Pale Lady and I told Adlao and Spinner to "keep him safe, write down as much intel from him as you can". I forget what I was being dragged off to do, but I end up leaving the castle, seeing the pantherghast, and then all I hear is people telephone-whispering "kill it" then following the panther back into the castle right as everyone shifted into "protect the friend" mode.

I'm sooooooo so so so grateful that I was able to NPC this event and have such a pivotal role as The Lady in Black/White. Top 5 NPC roles ever and I will forever remember it.

HUGE shout out to Derek for roping me into the Echo Tribunal storyline months in advance, I could not imagine how emotional that story would end up being.

Most of my highlights involve being the Lady, and I know I'll forget some, but here goes:

1. Her first appearance wandering around the castle grounds attempting to get PCs to help me break into the Silvered Gardens was a blast and I'm so sorry, Cookie and Zag for immediately corrupting you, but it was just so perfect. Getting PCs to willingly walk through the Veilgate was a wild experience.

2. The first time that I unleashed the full impact of the Lady in Black's power. Just walking around shouting out Voice Radius effects, I have never felt so invincible. I have....no regrets.

3. The secondary plotline of the Crimson Wyrmlord and the Lady's forbidden love was a total last minute addition but it played out so well. And I got to kiss Ana, so, win win right there. I have never been more emotional as an NPC until that moment.

4. The Tribunal mod where the PCs were able to purify the Lady and restore her manor to its former glory was a surreal experience. Thank you so much to Derek for commandeering my card so I could RP the **** out of that mod. Hiax and Cookie were troopers in taking those deaths after each story. Edwina, always a pleasure to RP with you, girl!

5. The Judgement of the Spirits, it was absolutely ethereal and I'm so glad that so many PCs were hooked enough on the story to see it through to its conclusion.

6. Dinner with Fate's Pawns as the Lady in White. Yes, she was flirting with Jack, no they aren't getting married (yet), and yes, she did give him a kiss after he walked her back to a Veilgate (NPC camp).

7. Basically getting to be Derek's minion and side kick through the whole event. I absolutely love working with you as an NPC/plot runner (Rathfall babyyyyy), and getting to just be a theater nerd again is always a joy.

8. The Lady's reassurance to Atradimas that the souls of those who's gems/ears/horns were taken did end up passing on safely was a total improv and I'm happy with how it turned out.

9. The gala was amazing! Basically playing an overworked and underpaid employee of the Prism Conclave organizing galas and parties and becoming best friends with Zaz and Zara was so much fun! Love RPing with Finn and Gail, you guys are amazing and I love you!

Thank you once again to all the PCs who were able to make this story so fulfilling for me. Love you all!

I had some really fun moments at this event, and I'm glad that got to pretty much take a break and do what I wanted, even as an npc.

I like that my joke npc Ontario Jones happened kind of organically as on friday nobody knew who was a pc or npc, and I just so happened to dress well enough that people thought I was a PC and at the end just walked unharried up the stairs, threw intoxicates down, and then walked through the pcs out the front gates. It was then I decided my card would upgrade every time Ontario lived through something he shouldn't have.
I like that people ended up enjoying him, or at least won't forget the name.
It's always my goal to go on a mod with the PCs as my joke npc (and get loot split!) and I was successful!
Seeing Sid's excited face when I sat down in front of him as Ontario, and then he cheered as I brought cards out to play poker
Betraying Bada and the rest of the PCs (and somehow living!?)
"Oh hey bud I just got new orders, I havent had a chance to read them, why don't we step outside and have a look!"
Bada, reading the note backwards through the sunlight "It just says 'execute order 66'?"
"Soory bud, I gotta kill ya"
The pcs in the courtyard: "Ontario, nooo! what are you doing?"
Then Ontario coming back at the end on sunday, (consensually) shooting out intoxicates, euphorias, and (because it was funny) enslaving Aiden to: be his friend, have a good time, and practice emotional growth

I had a lot of fun messing around as the Magnum Opus Archon
"teach me necromancy!"
"I am not whole! I feel very u n d e m o c r a t i c!" and the pcs then scrambling to find the final piece of armor
Bada teaching the golem that "You can always have a little fun!"
Messing around with Ana and Sarah "Do you enjoy Human sustenance?"

That final big mod awesome. top 3 battles ever.
I had a blast playing Leadfang, and appreciated how well-constructed the prop was.
If it seemed like Leadfang was everywhere, that is because I did a lot of running.

Dragon Duels! now being referred to as Dragon Ball, aka Censerball aka the most Ancient Rites of the Triumvirate of the Grimere Expanse aka Pyre adapted to Alliance
I'm pleased with how well it went, and the enthusiasm players have for it. The rules are complex, but even the newer players (mostly) got the hang of them and a great game was played.
I'm improving it every time, and aside from a few spectator-friendly tweaks I think it's pretty much there.
Censerball tournament in November, world ending be damned.

I really tried to interact with some new people and not just the people I was friends with and knew well, but I'm really bad with names. Special shoutout to Belt-giving dark elf for looping The Ivory Wyrmlord into the frog-worm conspiracy, it was a fun gala side-plot. Lucinda? Crystal-horned oathsworn in plate, for the badass pantherghast honor duel. and Zagreus (Instantly locked in your name because of the game Hades), I think I cold-approached you and pitched dragon duels and you went all in on it, Hope to see you make it down for the next censerball tournament and dethrone the Rathfall Vikings
THIS WAS THE BEST! I came to town as a outlander npc just to watch this. Bada- I did notice you acting super werid but couldn't really say that since we were 'strangers' LOL - so fun

8. The Lady's reassurance to Atradimas that the souls of those who's gems/ears/horns were taken did end up passing on safely was a total improv and I'm happy with how it turned out.
Ok your theater skills were on FULL display because I would never have believed that was improv without you daying so. Every movement and inflection was so deliberate.

It hit SO HARD. I had spent the entire event collecting every ear, gem, horn, etc that I could find up until that point (even Zag's ear that got cut off lol) and was working with folks to expend their energy so the items could be destroyed. Atradimas was brought to tears several times, even used their serious voice with Glenn about the whole situation.

So hearing that the spirits had passed on, that they were at peace? It was like the most immense weight off Atradimas' shoulders. Absolute catharsis.

Superb acting, you ate up every scene you were in. ❤️‍🔥

I liked it, seeing others from various chapters and old friends from the local chapter all together having fun. it was quite an interesting and a good learning experience. the only thing i would like to have seen is a current copy of the new rule book, i was told there were some but the print size made them hard to read for myself. but anyway it was fun being an NPC, i learned a little about the new rules and got to meet a lot new people from several states. overall i enjoyed myself quite a lot!!

If there's one thing that I absolutely adore about LARP, is that it lets me be an actor again ❤️
