It is my intention to hold a traditional Company of the Broken Chain funeral for Virid the evening of March the 7th at Lhachia. Care will be taken to avoid overlapping with the planned Spirit Farewell for Vishkin. All who knew Virid are welcome to attend.
The funeral rites of the Company of the Broken Chain involve a gathering of all who knew him, at which time time for any can speak publicly about him. Unlike in many funeral traditions, it is expected that speakers will talk fully openly and honestly about their relationship and opinions of the deceased. No one is to be sanctioned or thought ill of for feelings or opinions they express during this ritual. The ritual will continue for as long as there are people who wish to speak about or to Virid, with the restriction that each person will get only one opportunity to speak.
