A good makeup airbrush.

Anyone have a reccomendation for a good quality makeup airbrush, preferrably one that is fairly affordable?

typical cheap ones are around $200.

I used to use modeling airbrush kits.
Things to look for are all metal parts, or as much as reasonable. It makes clean up much easier and breakage less likely.

I got mine at Micheals, Badger 155 airbrush (no link) and I absolutely love it.
I recommend getting several jars so you don't have to change every time you want a new color.
I also recommend Mehron's LUX Airbrush Makeup: http://www.mehron.com/product_p/211.htm
Note that it is more expensive than Ben-Nye or Graftobian but it's SOOO much better (from my experience)
Ben-Nye flaked off way to much and Graftobian is an alcohol based, the LUX went on smooth and I only had to re-apply mid day Saturday (and I play a Dark Elf)

One thing I love about airbrush makeup is that I can paint my hands and it doesn't get on anything, it rubs off eventually, but I can just add a few drops and rub it in again and continue the day.

I'm also using a badger, though I don't recall what model and I also got it at Michael's. Got my compressor there too.

I use ben nye for my makeup, along with their liquid make-up thinner. Mine stays on all weekend without worry... even in a light rain.

What I would recommend doing is signing up for the Michael's ad fliers. They put out 40% off coupons every now and then. Grab one when you have one of those.

Mehron liquid also works pretty well without needing a thinner. I did not use barrier spray however, so my makeup would come off easily with baby wipes, or soap and water.

I also highly recommend cold cream if you can snag it. Makes you not feel like you just rubbed your skin with sandpaper.

Michael's has one of those 40% off coupons available for next week, the 30th through the 5th.
