<"A pleasure to meet you", a message from Thousand Bones>

I must say, now that I understand you better, you never cease to make me laugh. I am glad to call you a friend, Bones. Be sure to tease Ravis, too; he'll hate it!

-Clover

Trust me, Clover. You don't know me nearly as well as you think. I will take Ravis under my wing, as you pink skins say. I am quite sure that the group I will be traveling with will enjoy his company as well. Though, we may also need a shaman as well. Our group is severely lacking the magics of earth...

I don't wish to volunteer anyone, but it seems that the Order of the Oakpalm has plenty of earth dabblers. They may be willing to travel with your troupe if asked. Other than that, Ash seems to always be lending a hand. His traveling companion, Maven is a useful ally as well. I've not received word if they are traveling to the Valley, but where trouble lies, they tend to follow. If they refuse to aide you, though I seriously doubt they would, Orin might not be too busy with her own adventures to help.
As for taking Ravis under your wing, I'm fairly certain he won't need it. Where you boast of your skills, he prefers silence, and thus, should never be underestimated. He is young, but you younger still and have not yet learned the importance of patience. This, I think you could learn from him; and he, voracity from you.
To close this letter, I've painstakingly prepared an insult for you. It's taken many hours to conjure, and is even difficult to write, but here goes: You... wear the same armor my sister does.
How was that?

-Clover

I want you to know that I am rolling my eyes so hard that they are almost bleeding. I just wanted you to know that before I continue. No. Seriously. Rolling them a LOT!

Stop using your fancy words to try and change my ways! I will never bow to anyone, including a Mystic Wood Elf with grabby hands! I think Ravis and I will get along fine. But I don't do anything quiet! Eating, sleeping, singing, dancing... heck even my training is horribly loud! Why, you should have seen me when I was learning how to disarm my enemies! I practiced everywhere! In the hut with my mother as she was cooking! Oh boy, she hated that. I would disarm her wooden spoon and get stew all over the place! I recall needing to go to the Shaman a lot disarming my mother! But it toughens an Orc up! I also remember disarming my father of his paper while he was in the latrine! Ha! You haven't seen a whole village laugh until you do something like that to its leader! Yeah... I still have a scar from that battle with my father. Yikes!

As for Healers, well... I don't know the situation in the Valley as much as I would like. But since they are asking for Bones' help, well... it must be bad! Any healer should be honored to mend the wounds of this Orcish Warrior! I am the scion of Daggoth One-Eye! I have survived the crushing push of mountains! My mere presence makes Mystic Wood Elves fall head over heels in love with me! I have helped Kings acquire their thrones! I have ventured into the Realm of Chaos itself and have survived! If I were a shaman or healer, I would be lining up and begging Thousand Bones to allow me to heal him!

Er... um... Scribe Jacob Townsend is telling me I need to be more modest? What does modest mean? Sometimes I just don't understand your pink skin languages...

Firstly, healing -healing- hands. And no elf, from the Mystic Wood or otherwise, could possibly find your presence something to adore. It's not in our nature to admire such impudence.
Secondly, yes I'm sure you're the best orc there ever lived. I mean, that is a pretty low bar.
Thirdly, when you're laying on the battlefield grievously wounded, too weak to staunch the bleeding, and all you can hope for is an ounce of the grace of an Earth caster; you will learn what Scribe Jacob Townsend meant. Your shocking imprudence and lack of humility may prove to be too large a hindrance one day, and that is a greater weakness than cowardice.

A note to Scribe Jacob Townsend,
Thank you for your patience in dealing with Bones. However, I wish not to receive letters from him until an apology has been extended to myself regarding assumptions about my race.

<Forgive me, madam, but I must intrude on this conversation. Thousand Bones is currently wide awake and literally on the ground laughing. I think you made his day with all your "Sparkly Insults" as he calls them. In truth, regardless of your reactions towards this odd Orc, I do believe you have made a friend for life in him. And yes, while he is crude and obnoxious and downright crass, he is extremely loyal to those he calls friends. So much that it is almost unbearable. I made the mistake of telling him that I will help him anyway I can. Now he sleeps near my hearth, eats all my food and by the stars above, the mess he makes of my washroom! But... I have come to enjoy his stories not to mention his loyalty to me. Why, nearly a week ago, he... well... how should I put this... defended me from some aggressors that have tormented me for most of my life. A site to behold that nearly made up for years of bullying and cowardice on my behalf.

Dare I say that he is quite the strange friend, once you get to know him, I think? I do hope this helps alleviate some of his transgressions towards you? I honestly don't think he understands how his words hurt people? Perhaps that is my mission with him; to teach him some social graces, perhaps? But he is an old Orc! Nearly 10! Or was it 15? I don't really know as his story keeps changing... But you know what they say! It is nigh impossible to teach an old dog new tricks!

Though one word of advice, I have noticed that this Orc is extremely innocent in certain ways. Yes, he boasts about his kills and he will never back down from a fight. Be he tells me stories about his childhood and that everyone in his clan is extremely trusting of one another. He tells me that they never have any reason to lie; that their honor defines them. It makes me wonder if he extends that ideology to everyone? Which of course means he would believe anything you tell him. It is almost as if he is too trusting. Oh, but do be careful with this one. I certainly would not like to see what would happen if people betray his trust... and he find out about it.

I thank you for the insight you've given. I suppose I should be more patient with Bones, as he does seem to only ever mean well. Though I doubt he'd care, would you let him know that he is forgiven?
