Written in a hand that couldn't possibly belong to one so ill-educated, obviously done on his behalf, the following note:
"One traveler looking for work or adventure. Glad to learn new trades. Cannot read or write, will check for opportunities at noon each day until next gathering. Ask for Roann Tantreal, young man, dirty gold hair, thin of stature, blue of eye, dressed like a common whelp, too poor to afford any longer a message at a copper per ten words. What a sap!"
The lower left corner of the notice is stained a dark brown and curls oddly at the corner.
