Actual Larp Insurance!

While researching insurance for our chapter, I finally found a site that has actually geared a policy towards LARP groups, so I thought I would share it. The company is F Dean of California (their other branches on the E. Coast may offer it as well) and their rates are pretty reasonable, $5 a head for youth, $6.75 for adults, per year for $1 million of coverage (staff members are no cost). It's nice to see we're finally getting some recognition, they even had a LARP insurance brochure! A BROCHURE!
And yes, I fully realize I get way too excited over this kind of thing and it makes me a geek among geeks, but I can live with that. That's what spending your days researching event insurance and campgrounds rentals does to you.

That's very cool.

Seriously... can you scan info of that?

Not sure if this is who you found, but they only seem to be offered in a few states (or maybe that's just where they have offices) listed on the homepage (http://www.fdean.com/): Illinois, California, Colorado, Indiana, Florida, and Texas.

Here is the link to the Illinois page for Youth/Adult Sports Liability: http://www.fdean.com/policies/youth_adu ... urance.asp

Try giving them a call (contact numbers on the homepage) and see what you can find out.

I'll post the LARP insurance brochure when I can get on my other computer, the LARP insurance is a new offering for them, but they seemed pretty flexible when I brought up issues such as having insurance for 70 people and Player Jim-Bob bringing 20 new players with him to the event.

Edit: Here's the brochure, it's too large to attach via the forums.
