The Wayfarer’s Guild has a general job offer for the adventuring community. We have acquired what appears to be a necromantic spellbook that has resisted our efforts to destroy it. Our divinations reveal that it is a necromantic artifact of some power that must be entered and destroyed from within. The spellbook has proven exceptionally dangerous, including attempting to ritually Transform individuals unskilled in earthen magics who attempt to read it and spontaneously generating lesser undead.
Due to these escalating concerns, the Guild has obtained resources from the Order of Light to open the book and send a group into it to attempt to destroy it. Our belief is that the highest chance of success will occur at the next full moon, this coming Saturday. We will be opening the portal mid-to-late morning, once sufficient adventuring strength is present.
As always, the Guild will pay any adventuring volunteers, and all legal spoils belong to the finders, with right of first refusal for unusual items to the Guild.
