Alliance forums?

I'd have to think he does. I am going to post on the old Yahoo Owners board and see what's up, if anything.

alliancelarp.com points to ns1.xtinctdesigns.com and ns2.xtinctdesigns.com which appears to be a small time web design firm. http://xtinctdesigns.com is also failing to show up. It is entirely possible that Mike's designer/host failed to pay his bill and/or has other negative issues going on that are adversely affecting the alliancelarp.com site as a result.

from Mike on the Owners boards -

A major server located overseas that hosts hundreds of sites suddenly
went under after 5 years with no problems whatsoever; sounds fishy --
someone took the money and ran.

Our immediate host is losing thousands of dollars a day because of his
own sites being down and he is doing everything he can to get his (and
ours) back up again but that requires getting another server and
uploading everything there and so on -- could be days.

Should I point out the comedy of the owners' boards being located off the main site, yet Mike not wanting chapters to use their own forums? Or does someone else want to?

Actually, the Owners boards are on the main site. This communication was done via the old Yahoo group, which still exists.

And here we see why, while having a central bank for information and communication is a good thing, restricting to ONLY that central bank is a BAD IDEAâ„¢.

This is also why, as an employee of a hosting company, I occasionally want to strangle someone when a customer-of-a-customer calls up asking why their sites are down, and we can't just tell them 'your host was too damn cheap to pay us for his overages'. :(
