Staff Responsibilities and Rewards

Alliance LARP Seattle's staff is hard working, both before and during events, and should be fairly compensated for their efforts. Below is a list of the various staff positions and the rewards they receive for fulfilling them.


All Staff Members
- Attend all Alliance LARP Seattle events unless notice is given before pre-registration is closed or in the event of an emergency.
- Adhere to and enforce all Alliance LARP Seattle policies and procedures.
- Comport themselves in a manner that is becoming of the chapter.


Owner: Luke Doyle
Responsibilities:

- Choosing Head of Plot and approving any and all position of the staff members.
- Determining rewards for all staff positions.
- Determining rewards for all fundraisers and drives.
- The finances to keep the game running and active.
- Deciding when and if a player will be banned.
Rewards:
- Waived event fee.
- 500gs per month
- Access to auto cast LCO rituals


GM and AGM: Luke Doyle and Layn Holman
Responsibilities:

- Overall health of the game.
- Ensure compliance with Alliance LARP Seattle Accounting procedures.
- Assist Logistics with maintaining an accurate count of money in the cash box
- Reports to the Owner if there are concerns that the game is not operating in an efficient and healthy manner.
- May offer candidates to the owner for any and all staff positions.
- When a crisis arises must drop from playing and deal with said crisis in a timely manner.
- Reserve sites and pay site fees.
- Pay National dues.
- Site check in / check out.
- Resolve any issues or conflict with staff.
- Collect cash box from logistics at the end of game.
Rewards:
- 500gs per month
- Reduce event fee to $40, $60 for 3 day events.
- Access to auto cast LCO rituals


Logistics: Bill Marion, Erik Oberlin, and Tabitha Kenneally
Responsibilities:

- Handles any and all pre-registration of PCs, NPCs, Magic item, Battle boards, and Production.
- Ensure all PCs and NPCs are checked in and have paid prior to the start of the event.
- Reports the number of PCs and NPCs to the GM and AGM for the event.
- Responsible for the cash on hand to be kept safe and secure for the event.
- Maintain the PC database and answer any player questions pertaining to it.
- Notify the New Player Representative and Player Representative(s) of new players attending the event.
- Reconcile event experience, deaths, spirit forges, ritual scrolls used, reagents used, and teacher cards.
- Send appropriate cross-chapter logistics for out-of-chapter players and pay-no-plays.
- Process Goblin Stamp awards and spending.
- Distribute staff rewards.
- Ensure legal releases are signed and stored.
- Maintain season pass list and apply appropriate blankets.
- Maintain membership list and ensure dues are paid.
- Send list of pre-registered people to cabin list manager.
- Send list of pre-registered meal plan participants.
- Provides Event Report to Plot and/or Treasure Policy Manager post event for TP calculations.

Head of Plot: Paul Trujillo
Responsibilities:

- Review all plot team applications.
- Determine and maintain a number of plot members that will guarantee all plot responsibilities are met.
- Maintain communication with GM, AGM and owner about personnel and material needs.
- Ensure an event teaser is published to the forums and Facebook two weeks before an event.
- Ensure downtime responses are sent no later than the Sunday before an event.
- Provide a multifaceted overarching story-line for all campaign events to include: hooked mods and town battles.
- Manage and delegate responsibilities to members of the plot team to guarantee fulfilment of other duties.
- Review feedback and adjust the campaign as necessary.

Plot Members: John Potter and Nikki Blount
Responsibilities:

- Assist head of plot in the fulfilment of their duties.
- Writing info/lair cards including, but not limited to, those revealing world and plot information.
- Provide NPC guild with all information needed to run all info/lair cards.
- Flush out the setting provided with guild content for all four guilds.

NPC Guild Master: Sean Blount
Responsibilities:

- In charge of running all info/lair cards
- Networks with plot to have NPCs ready for any plot driven events that are planned for the event.
- Send out random NPCs/monsters to interact/harass the PCs if the event is experiencing a lull and monster camp is not preparing for a town fight.
- Properly scale mods to different groups.
- Distribute monster cards to NPCs.
- Work with plot to help other guild members understand their role.
- Comfortable with playing a wide range of monster cards, including “Lieutenants.”

Monster Camp At Game Organizer: Pierre Ka
Responsibilities:

- Ensure monster camp is unpacked and organized Friday evening by 8pm.
- Assist with the distribution of monster cards to NPCs.
- Collect and re-organize monster cards from NPCs after a mod.
- Ensure monster camp stays clean and organized.
- Ensure monster camp is packed up and ready to go at the end of the event.

NPC Guild Members
Responsibilities:

- Be comfortable with playing a range of monster cards.
- Be comfortable running small mods.
- Help keep monster camp clean and organized.
- Work with Plot to understand their roles and how they can facilitate the vision of Plot's story.
- Ensure monster camp is packed up and ready to go by the end of the event. All items that are not necessary for the last day of the event can be pack up and ready to go by 10a.m.
- Not essential, but preferred: comfortable playing RP characters as needed.

Non-Guild NPCs
Responsibilities:

- Die for our amusement!

Monster Camp Caretaker: Luke Doyle
Responsibilities:

- Arrive on site no later than 5pm with the Monster Camp Trailer.
- Assist with loading and unloading of monster camp to ensure that weapons and other fragile items will not be damaged during transport or storage.
- Ensure that the trailer is securely stored.
- Launder all costuming used after an event.

New Player Representative: Brett Sweeney
Responsibilities:

- Helps new players with the building of their PC.
- Gives new player orientation
- Explains any rules questions new players might have

Player Representatives: Heather New and Joel Rector
Responsibilities:

- Be an advocate for players when they have comments or concerns about the game or other PCs.
- Manages player feedback forms and forwards all submissions to the GM and AGM.
- Notifies Logistics of who had provided feedback so logistics can give GS stamps out to the pcs.
- Immediately will go out of game to resolve player issues brought up during game.

Head of Rules: Bryan Gregory
Responsibilities:

- Ensure players and staff are aware and have access to any rule changes.
- Keep up on national rules changes/clarifications and make sure our local policies comply.
- Can be called on to make a judgement call on the rules and has final say on the rule in question.
- Help answer rules questions on the forums and Discord.
- Provide testing for potential marshals.
- Work with Player Rep with regards to rules violations and punishment (if applicable.)
Rewards:

Rules Marshals: Stephen Stana, Nathan Bainbridge, Evan Rawson, Ben Thayer, Brian Johnson, Tony Mungo, Norman Berg, Rick Raddue, and Brent Woodward
Responsibilities:

- Know the rules of alliance to the best of their ability.
- Help answer rules questions on the forums and Discord.
- Will be called on to make a rules clarification.
- Make a judgement call on the spirit of rules if needed.
- Perform weapon safety checks.
- Perform armor evaluations.
- Marshal rituals as needed.
- Rogue marshal as needed (NPC marshals only.)
Rewards:
- 60gs per Logistics period.
- 10gs for each ritual marshaled.
- 30gs for running new player orientation.
- 30gs for performing weapon and armor evaluation outside of logistics.


Treasure Policy Manager: Tabitha Kenneally and Paul Trujillo
Responsibilities:

- Ensure all production, coin, Ritual Scroll, Magic Item, Catalyst, and reagent treasure policy is prepared for each event.
- Work with Plot Team to ensure Treasure is thematic for the event, if necessary.
- Appoint additional representative to handle part of Treasure Policy as necessary.
-E.g., (our current plan) a plot member handles distribution of Treasure Policy numbers and distributes to Logistics/Tabitha and prepares/engraves Magic Item and Catalyst reps, TP Manager prepares paper tags, reagents, and potion reps, Logistics provides coin and prints/signs Ritual Scrolls and Magic Items.
- Track all production put out and ensure that loot only includes small amounts of high-level (30pp+) production.
- Maintain a supply of phys-reps for each reagent type.
- Place potion and elixir tags in vials.
Rewards:
- 150gs per Logistics period.

Head of Deco: Rachel Miller
Responsibilities:

- Decorate the PC common area and set up/take down any site deco such as permanent circles or signs.
- Responsible for making sure deco is stored and put away at the end of the event.
- Lead planning of crafting or purchasing of deco.

Discord Admin: Amber-Rose and Stephen Stana
Responsibilities:

- Maintains Discord server and notifies AGM/GM if there are any concerns within the player base about the game.
- Ensures content follows all Alliance LARP Seattle policies.
- Manage channels and remind people when they are getting off topic for a specific channel.
Rewards:
- 60gs Per month


Discord Games Manager: Amber-Rose
Responsibilities:

- Create and run games on the Alliance LARP Seattle Discord server at least weekly.
- Keep track of all winners and prizes they are to receive.
- Ensure that the total production cost of production items is under what has been allotted.
- Record all prizes to be awarded and report them to logistics before pre-registration closes for an event.
Rewards:
- 100gs per month


Web Admin: Amber Bond
Responsibilities:

- Maintain Website and update website with any new information including staff members and events.
Rewards:
- 120gs per month


Public Outreach Coordinator: Nick Brewer (Seattle) and Ben DeBruhl (Portland)
Responsibilities:

- Organize outreach events to include: tables or exhibitions at local conventions and fairs to foster interest in the game.
- Organize PC and NPC attendance at scheduled outreach events.
- Report all PC/NPC involvement at outreach events to ensure proper compensation.
- Coordinate with GM/AGM to cover event costs whenever possible.
Rewards:
- 100gs per month
- 150gs per day of cons/fairs attended
- Non-covered event expenses compensated at 10GS per dollar.
- Access to auto cast LCO rituals.

Sexual Harassment Prevention and Reporting Coordinator: Joseph Nelson
Responsibilities:

- Establish and maintain sexual harassment training standards for all staff members.
- Manage all sexual harassment reports, lead investigations of allegations, and report findings to the GM, AGM, and Owner.
- Ensure anonymity of persons reporting sexual harassment to the best of their ability.
Rewards:
- 150gs per month.
- Access to auto cast LCO rituals


Site Medics: Heather New, Cortni Walton, Jason Scott Thomas, and Johnathan Snyder
Responsibilities:

- Provide first aid for any injuries that happen during events.
- Health and wellness reminders at the beginning of events.
- Ensure GM is notified of needs for the chapters First Aid kit.
- Track and provide logistics with injury reports for any injuries treated.
- Log first aid materials used and provide a list of items needed to maintain the first aid kits.
Rewards:
- 200gs per logistics period
- Additional rewards based on injuries treated.


Cabin Assignment Coordinator: Rachel Miller
Responsibilities:

- Ensure that all attendees are assigned to a cabin or arrange tent space for them.
- Print and update cabin list as appropriate on site.
- Deliver updated cabin list to GM/AGM on site before closing.
Rewards:
- 60gs per month

Kitchen Cleanliness Coordinator
Responsibilities:

- Ensure that the kitchen cleanup schedule is filled with volunteers.
- Make note of any volunteers that fail to show for their scheduled time.
- Contact Monster Camp if the state of the kitchen drops below standards so that game can be paused until it has been returned to standards.
- Provide an accurate list of people who have worked one or more kitchen cleanup shifts to the Treasure Policy Manager a minimum of one hour before game off.
- Distribute raffle winnings to kitchen cleanup volunteers.
