This document outlines how a player can exit a module or scene for medical and/or personal reasons if any should arise at ANY given time during an Wisconsin Alliance LARP event.

Members of Alliance LARP Wisconsin should always feel safe at any and all Alliance LARP Wisconsin events. All members should feel comfortable removing themselves from any situation that the member may feel unwell in. A member may Fade From Party if they are experiencing physical or emotional pain, fatigue, panic, or any other personal reasons that the member believes it necessary for that player to step away from the situation. Players who Fade From Party must wear a Hot Pink Headband and should be left alone except by Staff, Medical Marshals, or any persons personally requested by the member calling the Fade From Party. Later, when the member returns to game, that member should not be ostracized or otherwise punished in or out of the game for choosing to Fade From Party. Fade From Party is intended as a safety measure for member’s who need it and should not be used to escape or otherwise avoid an In Game situation. Taking Fade From Party is always a member’s choice. The goal of Fade From Party is to always protect our members.

Process: At any point in which a member feels like they need to remove themselves from a situation, they may call "Fade From Party" and that player should physically leave the location completely. This is done by walking away with hands on their head, then putting on a Hot Pink headband on. If a staff member was not present or doesn’t know about the situation, one person, player or NPC, should quickly locate and inform staff. All other member’s should carry on as normal. Staff will speak with the member and summon the Medical Marshal or any other persons needed if necessary. When (if) the member is ready to return to the game, they should speak with staff or NPC’s to determine how best to reintegrate themselves into the scene or the module.
