Alright, need help on an important decision:

Okay, folks: Im down to the wire with a decision to make, and I need to make one fast. Which should I go with?

These boots, those boots, or them other boots over there?

Biggest concern is getting a pair of boots that can accomidate fat calves.

I know, I totally went there. Oh snap and all that garbage.
 
I like the look of the first one, but for NERO purposes I wouldn't get them unless you plan to get them resoled with actual boot-soles. The second ones seem to fit the purpose and the function best otherwise.

Mink oil is your friend, btw.
 
I'd have to favor #2 for look and fitting with Mr Lancaster's "auuura" of self.
 
Hence why I said mink oil is your friend. Even the mocassin boots with enough mink oil rubbed into them are waterproof... which reminds me...

Does anyone know of any local-to-Seattle stores that sell boots similar to the ones linked, with similar prices as well? Im looking for sub-$100 boots.
 
Not TMK. You could do what I did, but you're looking at around $120 or so to do it. You can hit shoe stores and hope you get lucky, but it's a little past the boot season.
