Alternate Thrown Weapon Propulsion

I was thinking that it would be awesome to do a few different thrown weapon launchers, but of course, I had no clue if any of them are legal.

First: I figured that a sling would be a great way to propel rocks, as that's what they were meant to do.

Second: I was trying to devise a way to fling throwing knives from a concealed wrist position, but want to know if that would ever be legal before I started building.

Are either of these okay for combat?

Unfortunately, the rules do not allow provisions for launching thrown weapons. I would recommend talking to your local marshals about alternate ways to interpret the 'crossbow' rules to fire packets for your suggestions, as that seems like what might fit closest to your intent. As always, if you have rules proposals, write them up and send them to your chapter owner for review.
