((This is a description to explain why Alto and Valim left the lands of Icenia/Ashbury mid-travel to Thrommel, also gives some nice background of why myself and Luke will be absent from the August event. This is NOT a dream, merely a description of the events. Enjoy!))
((EDIT: I might be actually at the August event now. Still, its decent writing and could still happen even if I go to the event, so I'll leave it up for the time being.)

{Begin Scene}
As the nobility and adventurers move en masse towards the Estate of Thrommel, events transpire that will force Ohtar Altohtaro Armand and Valím Bloodclub to depart their fine company.

Shortly after departing Flameheart Keep, a small dove bearing a missive tied with a black string with a silver wax stamped in the shape of an eagle lands in the hands of Ohtar Altohtaro Armand. Alto gently thanks the dove before feeding it a piece of his rations and placing it on his shoulder. "Another letter huh?" says Valím Bloodclub, rolling his eyes. Breaking the seal, Alto opens the letter and scans its contents. "Yes, its the reply from Commander Airendil" A few quirks of the eyebrow later, Alto rolls up the letter and places it in his bags. "Well, what did it say?" Valím asks. Alto turns and smiles at the dwarf, "Patience Master Dwarf, I was just about explain. It appears your request to assist Sir Landcharmer has been approved. You are to immediately depart and assist him in fleet operations." Valím lets out a whoop of excitement and thrusts 'The Tenderizer' into the air. "I, however, will not be joining you. I wish you safe travels, and try not to get yourself killed." Valím snorts at this, "I haven't yet." The two look uneasily at each other for a moment, then clasp wrists together in an embrace of warriors. "I mean it", Alto says with a smile, "You're not allowed to die on duty." Valím chuckles, "Then the same goes for you" The elf and dwarf share a smile and a laugh of rare peace before becoming serious looking again. Alto nods, and with that, Valím Bloodclub departs their company of nobility and adventurers.

Looking slightly sad for a moment, Alto moves on along the trail with the rest of the group. Cheering up, Alto strokes the dove on his shoulder. "It never ceases to amaze me that you can find me, my friend", Alto says to the dove. The dove coos back at Alto. After a fair amount of more traveling and chatting with the others on the trail, Alto once again finds himself surrounded by people and yet utterly alone. Sipping some wine from his pouch, Alto is lost in his thoughts and doesn't notice the distant sounds of horses until come out of the woods. Two Imladari soldiers in glittering armor mounted on white horses burst into the small clearing. Most of the present adventurers adopt a defensive stance, wary of this intrusion. The two soldiers scan the crowd and spot Alto. They quickly trot their horses over to where he is standing. One soldier is holding the reins to another gorgeous white horse behind them. "Ohtar Altohtaro Armand?" says the soldier without the extra horse. Alto makes the customary sign of greeting between Imladar soldiers, "Speaking, what in the name of Imladar might I help you with?". The soldiers look uneasily at each other, then back at Alto. "We do not know brother, Commander Airendil has requested your presence at Regional Command." A slight look of fear crosses Alto's face, "Has something happened in Imladar....?" The lead soldier shakes his head, "I do not believe so. But you are ordered to make all haste back to Imladar. We are your escorts." The other soldier leads the extra horse over, gracefully dismounts, and begins to load Alto's belongings. "We are to depart as soon as possible" Alto nods sharply at this, and assists with the loading of the horse. A few minutes later, the extra horse is prepared and ready for travel. Nimbly climbing into the saddle, Alto mounts the horse. He turns arounds and addresses the people observing the scene, "I will return to assist the friendly lands in Icenia and Ashbury once my business in Imladar has concluded", Alto salutes the gathered nobility and adventurers. Some of the friendlier faces shout goodbyes, while others simply nod. Turning around to his face his escorts, Altohtaro Armand of Imladar takes a deep breath and then shouts, 'Now let us ride! For the Queen and Imladar!" The three mounted soldiers of Imladar charge off in the direction of Imladar.

{End Scene}
