The responsibilities and privileges granted to us by the crown of Wayside always weight deep within our hearts. The tending of earth magics is regarded by our guild as duty and honor and one of the highest amongst these is the keeping of the few greater earth circles of power and resurrection platforms which grace our nascent kingdom. These circles are a bastion and representation of the highest forms of the earth craft and often serve as rally points for healers of all stripe. It is thus critical that each circle have its own hierarchy to aid in defending the circle and the peoples that it serves.
Thus, the provisional position of Circle Master, or leader of a specific circles adherents to earth magic. While not necessarily a master of the guild, the prime authority on ritual casting within the circle, the authority on resurrections and the voice of the earth guild to a specific circle. This position bears great responsibility, requiring utmost honesty and integrity. The Circle master must rise above rank and politics to first and foremost assure the service of the circle to its protectorate.
It is thus with pleasure that I confer upon Journeyman Eric Marsters the responsibilities of Circle Master of Briarpass. Journeyman Marsters, having served faithfully in our and the order of the lights ranks for the better part of the decade he has risen in ranks, shown a dedication to both his fellow man but also to this guild, its purpose, and the people of Wayside. Our research shows, he is a man capable of putting aside the capricious desires felt of most in defense and safekeeping of his protectorate and in the development of other earth guild members within his area of responsibility.
A citizen often Common to Briarpass, Encampment 42 itself, Journeyman Marsters has begun the arduous mastery of Formal Earth Magics while also delving his research into the Arcane Arts. He is known for his knowledge of necromantic counter magic and distinguished himself as both warrior and scholar in the Thargatian Crisis.
Circle Master Marsters, Allow me to be the firs to both congratulate and thank you for taking on this difficult task and wish you the best of luck in your continued development as a healer, mentor, and earth formalist.
