I've got a pair of high-polish 16 gauge stainless steel greaves, and a pair of high-polish 16 gauge stainless steel articulated poleyns. I picked them up while I was jousting in Pennsylvania last summer, but only got a chance to wear them twice. There's a dime-sized scuff mark at the base of each knee (from kneeling on a wooden stage) that'd come out easy with some jeweler's rouge. Other than that, you could seriously shave by looking into these things, and they're stainless, so no rust!! I've also already rigged out foam padding over the ankles.
I paid $200 for the Greaves and $300 for the Poleyns, but I'm willing to let them go for $150 and $250 respectively, since they were lightly used.
