Blacksmithing Questions

as far as blacksmithing goes, if I were to use it to silver a weapon would I have to let logistics know ahead of time or just when checking in? I've never used production skills so sorry if that's a dumb question.

Second, if I wanted to make armor, would I have to bring a phys. rep that a marshall would approve to be that many armor points, or could I just use my current armor even if it was marshalled to be worth less than what I can craft? If that makes any sense.

You can silver a weapon at logistics as long as you have 15 free production, a weapon tag, and 15 silver (or a gold and 5 silver). It's as easy as writing up a new tag.

You can craft whatever weight you would like, phys repping it is the responsibility of the character who wishes to use it.
