British TV crew at the July event

It looks as if a British TV crew filming something for a 3D TV show on the Discovery channel will be at the July event, and will probably want to talk to some of you. So be prepared!

I just received an email from them, and here's what they're looking for. If you think you fit this, email me!

I'm really hoping to speak to a long term player who is from one of the proffesions, I understand there are quite a lot of police, fireman and EMT's. Or anyone who works in management etc. I've spoken to Kyle but he didn't seem over the moon at the idea of putting himself out there or filming in his shop! It would great to speak to someone I think the majority of people would be surprised that play Alliance. If they aren't happy won't do it with and without costumes we could do an interview in character so they were unrecognisable.

I will do it!!! They can come hang out with me at the radio station!

Here's what he wrote:

"Hi all,

I'm Nick Kennedy, the producer on this hour long 3DTV documentary that we
are making for Discovery's new 3D channel 3net in the USA. This is part of a
series we are making about interesting subcultures across the USA and I'm
looking forward to getting stuck into the filming for this one next weekend.

Everyone has been a huge help so far, full of useful information and great
stories about the game. One thing that keeps coming up in converstaion is
what a huge cross section of society plays Alliance. We've already got a
good selection of people who we'll do some interviews with but we're still
hoping to speak to people from the professions, I've been told there are
doctors, lawyers, police, firemen, managers, successfully married men and
women who are very much part of the rat race, but I haven't heard from many
yet. It would be great to interview a couple of people in the film to prove
that this isn't a hobby confined to young guys who live at home. Thanks to
those I've already spoken to - I think we've got rid of most of that myth
but it would be great get a little more variety. Please get in touch!

And next weekend, if anyone who doesn't want to feature in the film at all
could make themselves known to any of the film crew we'll avoid filming you,
and if we do catch you on camera, we'll edit you out or blur your face.

Just got done with my interview with these folks. They are very polite and understandjng. Some parts were a bit cheesey but i hope i represented you all well ( in the moving process so apartment is very cluttered) dont judge heh
