The Chicago Private Module Series: The Season That Never Was is a series of one day events that will take place during the remainder of the Pandemic. These events are part of the Season That Never Was and thus neither part of the 2020 or 2021 season. These are special events taken place under a unique formula and unique circumstance.
All modules will be listed here and available via the CMA for gobbie purchase and for secondary character purchase as well. They will count as a one day for all purposes, experience, treasure ect...Typical format will be a 2 hour combat mod, 1 hour of ritual casting/general rp, plus 1 hour of time with an NPC of the group's choice (plot reserves the right to modify this but will take requests as able).
The event will use a modified advanced packet page combat system to minimize touch, will encourage social distanced rp as able, and encourage mask use which will have an In game character reason to not seem out of place. Everyone in attendance will need to verify they are without a fever before playing. Hand sanitizer and wipes will be used as able and hand washing encouraged.
These modules must be requested via an email to plot@chicagoalliancelarp.com and in all cases will be capped at an attendance of 10 persons, and will require a minimum of 8 PCs to take place- all PCs must prepay for the event to be booked. The price for these events will be $15 per player. A group leader should contact plot to book the event and further details will be worked from there. Typically these events will take place at someone's home or a public park nearby. The group leader should have this detail sorted out when possible. This is meant to just be a small taste of larp and will be a truly unique experience for all of us no doubt.
Currently the combat mod offering will involve the Viktor Hook plot line and prepping for victory against him. Look for an In game hook about that coming soon.
