in the description of "claws" it says "can be the same length as a short sword, and base damage is 2. in the weapon guide lines chart, "claw" has a max length of 24" (short sword has a max of 32") and base damage for said claw is 1.

which one is official rule?

I think that the length was upped to 33" along with short swords.

It's still incorrect in the new rule book: Weapons chart still shows Claws with 25" Max length & 1 Base Damage.
