Coffee Anyone?

I'm not often inside the kitchen, and so I'm wondering if anyone could tell me what sort of coffee-making appliances are available back there. I have this crazy notion that I might provide "gourmet" coffee on Saturday and Sunday mornings (for a small, astronomical fee), but need to know whether or not to bring my own coffee pot up to make things run more smoothly. Also, if I do this, how does one get into the kitchen ward? Is there even still a kitchen ward? And where do insects go during the winter? :?

To be totally unhelpful: THIS WOULD BE AWESOME. Dave, this idea carries the Amelia Lizak seal of approval.

Dave,

Here are the answers to your questions:

1) There are electric coffee makers in the tavern.

2) You'd need to make arrangements IG with either Skirfir (Scott's dwarven innkeeper), Thanos (Eric's dwarven innkeeper) or Xxxx (insert the name of Mike V.'s hobling innkeeper here).

3) The kitchen ward is cast on the Friday of each event.

4) Yes, there is still a kitchen ward.

5) Many insects die during the colder months (after laying eggs that can survive the winter) while others go into insect hibernation called "diapause." Still other insects migrate (including some butterflies) and the rest hunker down for the winter (honey bees, for instance).

First let me thank you Eric for being the ONLY person to ever answer that question! I can't tell you how many times I've asked. :D Second, I'm assuming that you since you said there are electric coffee makers (plural), that there are at least two, which is probably all I will need. Thanks for the help, and I will seek out one of the aforementioned characters upon my arrival! And for those who happen to be reading this.....how many coffee drinkers would like to announce their interest in partaking?

The Mrs and I would love to have some of your coffee. We'll be NPCing but gourmet will be the good stuff. We'll gladly throw ya a few bucks to help reimburse the cost or coinage if plot staff gives us that to randomly go into the tavern. I'm not a massive coffee drinker but if the Mrs doesnt have her cup of java every now and again she turns into Ghidra and Tokyo will not be safe.

I can bring some organic loose leaf teas if people who dont like tea what some.

I appreciate the offer for compensation, but what I think I'll do is charge in-game coin for the brew. I imagine I'll serve it for a few hours each morning to help get everybody going!

i hate coffee and will make some kind of marshmallow golem to fight you while you serve this.

I will rift in MORE Hobling Lords to pillage your circle and summon flame elemntals to make your marshmallow golems into gooey delicious golems (who don't have cards and must be instantly sent back to NPC camp). Oh, and a caffine-deprived Dragon (who I have just created a card for) will chain-oblit you. Make no mistake, caffine in Toddo makes more treasure go out on morning crunch.

*Editor's Postscript* This may or may not be true, Toddo found the Merlot and we honestly can't tell if he's kidding or not.

why would you ravage my circle while I am darksiding... if this is the welcome i get for the rare times i NPC....

honestly it's all Michelle's fault. I am never allowed to be on the same side as her.

yeah!!! that was good tea last time

oh, you're NPCing? Then said Hobling Nobles will leave ritual scrolls in your woefully undefended circle. Sadly all of the bad guys you have let see your circle will Circle Wlak out with them before you return. BTW, don't make a circle people can look at by opening a curtain, you'd get much more lootz.

I'll most likely end up doing the same as Dave I'll charge a small amount of in-game money per cup. I'll make sure to bring a nice variety with me. :)

Actually Toddo the Circle is in good hands.. Mecha Sym will be there......please leave scrolls and comps in a neat pile along with any other goodies you send .. I hate disorder and should my coffee be disturbed I will be most unhappy which means "Stone Elf" unhappy = Death and Destruction......

I will be the phys rep for whatever horrible creature that Cedric ends up summoning. That marshmallow guy is going to get busted crossed-stream style.

I would love having a variety of interesting coffees!

Please note that the coffemakers we have are the HUGE ones that do 30 cups at a time. If you want to make smaller brews of different kinds, you're unfortunately going to have to bring smaller coffeemakers. I would definitely encourage you to do so, and I'm sure Bartholomew the tavern hobling would be very appreciative of the offer (assuming, of course, you pay a reasonable fee for use of the kitchen).

I just need a big thing of hot water for the teas bc i will be doing them on a individual bases.

I'm fairly certain there is a 12 cup drip coffemaker in the pantry.
