Hey guys.
Brand new Scout here and I aim to use a crossbow as my ranged weapon.
1) Anyone have any pictures of theirs?
2) What's the best way to throw packets using a crossbow? It seems like it would be really awkward if you try to roleplay drawing it back.
3) Do you use NOTHING but foam or have you used other things like thin fiberglass rod reinforcement?

1) I don't have any pictures of crossbows, sorry.
2) You have to draw the packet back, but then are allowed to use a full throwing motion without maintaining contact with the crossbow rep.
3) A crossbow rep can not have any solid core, only foam and tape. The body should be primarily closed cell, and an open cell waylay tip is required to waylay with the rep.

I know the rulebook says they can't be strung, but would it be ok to use string that is purely decorative and non-functional that goes from the limb through the body?
 
I would recommend you talk with your local marshal on that.
I could probably do the 'string' on my designs smaller, but they can easily break if they are much thinner. I was thinking about making them hook & loop breakaways.
