Background:
My character concept is a weapon master, and I carry at least one rep of each weapon type (yes, all of them) on me to train any other character in any weapon or fighting skill. I'd like to expand this RP and weapons-based assistance to other players by doing out-of-game weapon repair services in-game (using the Blacksmith skill). It would be good for both customer service as no one likes a broken weapon and as a Marshal so I can teach players the safe methods of weapon building and repairs. That being said, my question for discussion is:
Would seeing someone making out-of-game repairs to a weapon phys rep in an in-game area be damaging to the in-game environment such as the tavern or do you think it's fine so long as the associated RP and conversation regarding the weapon repair is kept in-game?
My alternate idea is to take the weapon/s back to my tent/other "off screen" area and come back with a finished product, but that ruins a lot of the PC interaction/RP side for me.
