Double-Batching - do they have the be the same as first?

I'm working on my pre-registration to speed up logistics for next event, and I have an interesting snag with the numbers I want.

When you double-batch and pay extra for your production, do they have to be the same as the first batch for the same day? While it's not written, it always made sense to me that this works because I'm mixing all my alchemy in one large vat (hence the term 'double batch'). The way I want to spread out my product for next event this doesn't work out so well, so I want to confirm if this is actually the case or not.

No, batching simply gives you your production points to spend again at double money cost, which I've always thought of as the waste from hurried work.
