Dreams of Unknown Places

A man knelt sobbing, pleading to the figure before him. It, or he rather stood taller than any man should, his skin a deep blue with horns and ears like an elf of the mystic wood.

The large man spoke… "I sympathize with your pain. Believe me when I tell you than none do more than I, but this is how it must be. You need to go home child, forget about this and live your life. Dwelling on what has happened will only bring you pain…"

… The vision fades out then fades back in to a hooded man standing over a desk strewn with maps and scrolls. A servant walks up to him, carefully keeping the desk between them…

"They said they've found it Senator. They said they are sure this time." The servants voice was meek and hinted of fear.

"What proof do they have?" The hooded man spoke without looking up from his maps.

"There was an explosion, things in the area are quite unnatural. It was in Forestheart all along." The servant backed off a step, perhaps expecting a physical response from the Senator.

"Have my horse and an escort prepared, I will be leaving at once… Oh, have a whispering wind sent to whoever found it. Tell them that if they are wrong, they had best find it before I arrive." his tone had started to grow impatient.

"At once, Senator." The servant turned on a heel and hurried out of the room.
