Summary of conditions of the city states of the Grimere Expanse
The Illuminated continues its advance upon the cities of the realm, while the Blight gnaws hungrily from the other horizon. Between these twin devastations stand the Earth’s Chosen: firm as bedrock, trying to penetrate them is like trying to scratch glass with pudding.
This report chronicles the current state of each bastion under our watch and bears witness to those who hold the line in reverence and resolve. Let these words serve as both record and assurance; for though the sky rages and the soil bleeds, our resolve does not fracture.
Forssa - The Battle of Foundations Stand
Through the steadfast labor of the Unbounded and the Forssian army alike, the bulwarks of Forssa have been restored. Though the Blight Hordes press without ceasing, the city-state yet endures, its gates sealed by will, its wards lit by conviction.
Gareel - The Battle of Hope’s Uprising
Victory was seized through unity of the Unbounded and Gareel! The malitite veins within the mountain walls thrummed once more with sacred resonance, casting the Blight from our gates and sundering the vampire occupation. Yet in their bitterness, the Libertines have turned to desecration, razing the malitite fortifications. Efforts to these sites are underway, guided by Brother Mountain’s enduring blessing. The campaign shall be long, but the mountain does not hurry.
Hollo - Battle of Tunnel’s Breach
The tide of Light creatures has been beaten back. Hollo stands resolute, girded by the hands of Rathfall, Silkshore, Vassa, and the Unbounded. Of all bastions, Hollo shines strongest now, a citadel reborn from ruin, prepared to answer any renewed assault in the name of the Earth’s Chosen.
Rathfall
The gleaming horrors of the Light have reached Rathfall’s walls. All citizens and defenders are to take up arms and secure the gates! Let none falter.
Silkshore
The Light scourge crashes upon Silkshore’s harbor walls. Mariners and masons alike take up arms, sealing every gate. The seas churn with battle, but the coast remains unbroken.
Sultai
Light-born creatures have breached the waters of Sultai. The island’s defenders, united under the Earth’s Chosen banner, lock the gates and fortify the sanctums. The hymn of the Zehiraj Sands echoes across the waves, defying the invaders.
Trusken
The islands of Trusken remain untouched by corruption or false Light. Scouts report the mainland torn in divine conflict, Light and Blight locked in ruinous war. Our sentinels continue to reclaim abandoned villages where possible, though such triumphs are fleeting. Still, the Chosen endure.
Vassa
The Light has reached Vassa’s outer walls. Every able spirit is commanded to stand vigil and repel the foe. Support to the Wardens rise with the clash of arms; may the roots beneath the city hold strong.
Whitehaven
Whitehaven stands under siege by the Light. Its colonists seal the gates, their chants rising above the din of war. Earth’s Chosen adherents work tirelessly to stabilize the Gates and shield the populace. So long as breath remains, the walls shall not crumble.
Witchweld
All communication with Witchweld has ceased. No courier, no light, no whisper has returned from its borders. The Earth’s Chosen mourns the fallen and calls for a moment of stillness in every stronghold. The soil remembers them, and one day, it shall give them back.
